About this item

  • Industrial Grade Structure: This 1 3/8 inch hole saw uses high-quality TCT cemented carbide. Carbide tipped hole cutters are an excellent alternative to traditional bimetal hole saws. The excellent durability of TCT hole saws is unmatched by bimetal and HSS hole saw
  • Fast & Accurate Cutting: Carbide technology and optimized tooth profile make cutting faster, more precise, smoother and longer service life, reducing the chance of tooth chipping. At the same time, the cutter body cuts clean and burr-free holes faster than traditional twist drills or hole saws
  • Size: Cutting Diameter: 1 3/8" / 35mm, Cutting Depth: 1" / 25mm, Total Length: 3.1" / 78mm, Drill Bit Diameter: 0.24" / 6mm, L-Wrench Diameter: 0.12" / 3mm
  • Applicable Materials: Can be used for stainless steel, aluminum alloy, castings, section steel, iron, copper and other hard alloys. Suitable for installation in drill presses, bench drills or other drills
  • Worry-free Shopping: Customer satisfaction is one of our top priorities. If you have any questions about the product, we will provide you with a satisfactory solution as soon as possible.

Hordion 1 3/8inch/35mm Carbide Hole Saw Cutter Drill Bit Tooth Tipped TCT Hole Cutter for Stainless Steel Sheet Metal Sheet Plastic FRP Board
Features:
1. Perfect & Smooth Cutting Effect: The optimized tooth profile can achieve more precise, smoother, faster and safer drilling, so as to obtain a perfect cutting effect.
2. The Service Life Is Extended By 5 Times: The Hordion carbide hole saw can cut quickly and accurately in various metal applications, and can be applied to stainless steel, aluminum alloy, castings, section steel, iron, copper and other hard alloys. At the same time, the life span is 5 times longer than bimetal and HSS hole saws!
Kind Reminder:
1. Please check the integrity of the hole drill before use.
2. When the hole drill is installed in the electric drill, the three sides of the corresponding handle should be clamped.
3. When drilling holes, keep the verticality of the hole drill and the workpiece.
4. Use a small feed force when starting drilling, and use a medium feed force after positioning.
5. During drilling operation, the speed should not be too low to avoid jamming of the knife edge and causing broken knife.
6. When the center drill drills through the workpiece, the force should not be too large to avoid severe impact between the blade and the workpiece.
7. After the hole drill drills through the workpiece, the workpiece should be withdrawn while the hole drill is rotating.
Package Include:
1 x 35mm hole saw
2 x high-speed steel pilot drill bit
2 x spring
1 x L hex wrench

This drill bit size was hard to find in my local hardware store. Needed 2.75” for the Intex pool inlets to convert a galvanized stock tank to a pool. The bit worked perfectly with my cordless drill!

I used this hole saw to cut two holes into a stock tank so that I could install hoses for water filtration. The hole saw cut the holes quickly and cleanly. The teeth are aggressive but still allow controlled cutting. Mine came with two pilot bits, both with a spring to help eject waste.Since I’ve only cut two holes with it so far I cannot be sure of durability. It’s made as well as a cheap hole saw could be though. Not comparable to expensive hole saws costing four and five times the price, but it’s not intended for that market anyway.

I used this to mount a PSI gauge into a project box with a metal lid. It made short work of it. The resulting hole was clean and perfect. I'm impressed by the quality of the tool, though the case it came in was busted up when I got it. No big deal, I didn't buy it for the case. If you need to drill a hole to mount a standard size automotive gauge, this is your item.

I recently use this whole cutter to cut a hole in a 1/8th steel panel and it cuts it right through it without any problem. The blades are very sharp and a spring makes it very easy to pop out and discard the scrap metal. It cuts through metal very easily. I am so surprised by this. I will try to test it out more to see the longevity of the blades but for now I’m very happy with it and it does a great job cutting holes into metal.I’ve known about these Much much sooner as I will be using them a lot more in the upcoming weeks.I would highly recommend them for anyone that needed to cut holes into metal.

This hole saw broke the first time I used it. It broke at the arbor; where it fits into the drill. Just very poor quality.

Fast take:Great quality and durabilityGreat priceCons: not really a con as it's more compatability, might be better used with a drill press or corded drill as my M18 drill wasn't happy with it.I needed to cut out holes for replacement 120mm exhaust fans for my kitchen. This is the biggest metal hole saw I've ever used so there was a learning curve here for me: torque transfer from my M18 drill to my hands/wrist, often cutting power completely, drill brake not enjoying stopping the momentum, etc. Might be better to use a drill press or a good corded drill. The hole saw is a very high quality item, carbide teeth cuts fast and accurate. Metal structure is very sturdy, completely centered too with absolutely no deviations when spinning fast.I've only used this on a 1/16 thick sheet metal so I can't say how will it'll work on other thicknesses and materials.Highly recommend hole saw.

Product description is accurate. Comes with a plastic case to store hole saw, 2 drill bits with spring, and an Allen wrench. I've only used it to cut through hard & ABS plastic. Works great, cuts a clean hole. The storage box is a plus - keeps all parts together. However, I wish the box was long enough to store the hole saw with the drill bit attached.

SECC: Electro-galvanized commercial quality cold rolled steel. Commonly used in ATX computer cases from the 90's and early 2000's. Not sure about modern cases. As I understand it "Cold Rolled" is harder than standard steel but I am not a metal expert, not even a little.I needed this for one specific use, to cut a 120mm hold in an old computer case with my Ryobi cordless drill. Keeping RPM's up and not pushing too hard seemed to be the key with this. The drill I have isn't like ULTRA POWERFUL anyway. But the center bit got through the steel quickly, and the hole saw itself, once I figured out the technique did an awesome job. It did leave behind some VERY sharp edges, as I think any hole saw would. I used a Dremel with a sanding wheel to smooth those out. I actually ended up using the spare bit this came with to drill out the 4 screw holes I needed to mount the 120mm fan as well. I probably should have but didn't use any oil or anything while doing this. I also liked the plastic case it came in. Happy customer.
