I got these for a project involving cutting holes in stainless steel. I was initially drawn to the set because of the nice box. I've purchased a few weird sizes I needed in the past and they've spent most of their lives rolling in circles around my tool drawers whenever I open or close them. My specific need was to create a 2 1/8" diameter hole in stainless steel. Having previously struggled with bi-metal hole saws on stainless, I was hopeful these carbide-tipped saws would perform better. I was not disappointed. With careful application of WD-40 and moderate pressure, the DAIMIT hole saw cut cleanly and efficiently through the stainless steel. The spring-loaded pilot drill made starting the hole precise and easy.Beyond the stainless steel project, I've used these hole saws on wood and plastic with equally good results. The variety of sizes in the kit has already proven useful for various projects. For general purpose hole-saw needs around the home or workshop, this set is a solid choice.

I have yet to try these bits out, but the way they were made is impressive and I know tools pretty well. I am almost sure that I will have no issues using these saws.

I truly expected far less quality than I received. These hole saws are amazing. They come in a great case. I would have preferred a plastic case for the continuity of my shelves, but at least it is easily identifiable and will last quite a while.There is a nice assortment of sizes of bits. Most importantly, they cut well. There really isn't much you couldn't use these to drill through. They have a smart profile that allows the plugs to drop well. Obviously the springs help, but they aren't working alone.Great job on providing a solid product at a very reasonable price point.

Bought just to cut a 1.5"D hole in 18 ga stainless sheet, but better to get a full set and this was the best deal with good reviews. Non-magnetic so was likely 304 alloy (or 316), which has more chrome, thus harder to cut than 400 series (magnetic).I had previously tried using a Milwaukee 1.25"D bi-metal hole saw I had, but had forgotten the tricks to machining stainless. You can't get it hot or it will work-harden to become almost impossible to cut. I forgot and smoked it a bit, using oil coolant, but barely mar'ing the surface. With these TCT hole saws, I chose a bit larger to focus on a new section of metal. I put a soaked rag inside the hole saw to drip down and applied hard pressure so the bits dug in at the start to peel the "gooey " stainless chips off. It cut chips right away, but even then started smoking after just 1 sec so kept stopping and rewetting. Stainless has low thermal conductivity which makes it heat fast (Ti is similar), making machining more challenging.I similarly had to be careful drilling 4 mounting holes, using Irwin Cobalt drill bits, ample coolant, and hard pressure, after first denting the hole location with a small concrete nail (can punch thru if hit hard on wood backing).

For the price, this kit delivers worlds more than I expected. The fact that each piece has its own spring loaded mandrel is incredible. No needing to change out mandrels for each size. The spring assists work well, and make it easier to remove the cut plugs. The teeth are sharp, and work great on softer metals. They’re doing great for my uses.
