The RKK Door Lock Installation Kit is a game-changer! Whether you're installing a new deadbolt or replacing a door knob, this kit has everything you need to get the job done with ease. The hole saws are incredibly sharp and made of high-quality material, ensuring a clean and precise cut every time.I was amazed at how easy it was to use, and the step-by-step instructions made the process even smoother. The yellow color is not only eye-catching but makes it easy to locate the kit in my toolbox. The adjustable depth guide was particularly helpful in ensuring that the cuts were just the right depth, making my installation neat and secure. If you're a DIYer or a professional, this kit is definitely worth adding to your tool collection. It saved me so much time and effort, and the results were professional-grade! Highly recommend it to anyone who needs to install door locks.

Jig works great for adding lock holes on blank doors. My only wish with this jig is that they would have made the bolt hole slot removable with a standard template for the bezel so you would be able to run a router in it to recess the bezel. Other than that, Good stuff.

This is not a tool for a professional. It will help the weekend warrior to get the job done without breaking the bank. In my case I'm making doors from scratch as I wanted something different than the standard raised 6 panel standard height doors. I also wanted hardwood, not low quality pine. While I have all the tools to make doors I don't see myself making a lot of them once I'm finished upgrading my house. So I didn't want to invest in an expensive tool that would collect dust after the job was over.Since I'm making my own doors I'm free to make the thickness work with this tool. I made it fit snugly but on the cheap old doors I was removing but it did work. Since those doors were headed for the recycling bin I practiced making holes on them. I found that the holesaw fits too loosely inside the round hole in the plastic frame. So I made two round disks out of hardwood with a 1/4" hole in the dead center that fit tight into the large hole on the yellow frame. I then drilled the 1/4" pilot hole in the correct spot, removed the jig, and then used the hole saw to drill the large hole. I felt like this was a more accurate way of using the tool.

I would rate this door lock system as a five because it comes with all the necessary parts to drill the larger hole and the smaller hole in a wood door. I like the fact that it has the pre- drilled holes for the two screws on the outside to secure it to the door to help you keep it stable. I also appreciate the directions on how to do this properly to minimize errors. I also appreciate it comes with the drillbit that can be used on both holes during installation. This is a very functional product that can save time and money so I like it.

Great alternative to the brand name products that are significantly higher priced. I needed one of these to drill a hole into a new slab door I purchased and did not want to invest too much since I would rarely use this again. This product does a great job at making the perfect hole for the lock - and is a high quality item that matches other products sold in local hardware stores. Everything needed to drill the hole is included in the kit - except ofcourse the drill! Great item and well worth the money spent

This Knob/Deadbolt Install Kit is an absolute must have for saving valuable time and it is 100% accurate. As a jack of all trades and Damn good at every one of them (Yes, I went there!), I have to say that I’ve never used one of these before. I’ve always gone by the Golden rule of “measure twice, cut once” method on everything I build. I like that it is adjustable to fit 1 3/8in, 1 1/2in, 1 3/4in thick doors and has 2 backsets of 1 3/8in and 1 3/4in. The kit also comes with an interchangeable Arbor bit and a 1in and 2 1/8in hole saw. Just be sure to read all of the instructions at the Top and Bottom of the entire listing page before using this kit. Life is Good!! This Knob/Deadbolt Install Kit Rates Extremely High on the Claydog Approval Scale!! Enough Said, Wrench Drop!! Thanks for your time, Claydog

Let me get the BAD out of the way:1. I wouldn't buy this again. It's just not stable or adjustable enough.-- Interior door where we wanted to add a smart-deadbolt. This jig was too wide for the door. Even with the screws in place, the jig wobbled enough that the hole wasn't straight.--The depth adjustment only allows for 2 settings. And one of those was about 1/4" off.--Needs finer adjustments (like threaded), and a CLAMPING function. Relying on two screws on the narrow edge of the door is not enough.2. The plastic bends way too easily.3. It REALLY needs a way to mark the spot on the jamb too, to help keep alignment. Reaching through the newly cut hole in the door with a marker just isn't as "smooth".The GOOD: One thing, the drill bits. The center drill bit starts the guide hole and the larger hole cutter comes down straight. You will likely have to stop, back out, and remove the cut plug from the bit 1-2 times for each hole you drill. Could not go through one whole door/cut without the bore getting jammed up. Anyway, the bores are easy to swap out for each cut, and easy enough to clear out. Sharp bit and bore teeth go through the door material quickly.Frankly, the plastic "guide" almost comes across as an afterthought or addition to a drill bit kit. Cannot recommend.
