Used it to cut a hole in an aluminum cabinet for running light cables in a greenhouse project. Handled the job well, cutting through the metal without too much effort. Teeth stayed sharp, and it didn’t overheat quickly. The edges needed a little cleanup afterward, but that’s expected. A great tool for the price, especially for DIY projects!

The large diameter hole saw performed perfectly, cutting a precise hole thru a dense material leaving a clean edging. The construction and detailing of the center arbor bit assembly provided ease of centering for execution, and with the spring loaded outer detail pushed the cut out material easily, not requiring the standard struggle of removing the cutout and allowing for prompt execution of the next cut

Sceptical at first and a bit apprehensive cause i put in cup holders on my boat ... Scary cutting into an aluminum boat! But perfect hole! Cut it slowly and mild pressure. Buddah! Good product

I needed to cut a 5" hole in the floor of my camper van / RV for the installation of a Chinese Diesel Heater mounting turret. And this was jus the right tool for the job. Sort of.It took a good long time given an underpowered drill, and LOTS of WD-40 to keep the saw teeth cool and lubed so they stayed sharp, and other than burning up a cheap old drill having to swap out to a much heavier duty drill mid cut, it went through no problem until...Trying to take the arbor out, since this is a large size hole saw with a threaded arbor, well the hole saw tends to continue tightening the arbor until you can NOT get it off of the saw. I finally managed with a GIANT pair of slip joint pliers, and a less giant pair of slip joint pliers.Good thing I discovered, the threaded pin drive arbor for my Harbor Freight large size bimetal hole saws is a perfect fit and has the pin drive that locks the arbor in place once threaded on so it will not continue tightening. Not sure if this is a universal size for threaded bimetal hole saws or not, but the ones I have tried so far have all fit.If you are going to be cutting something like auto body steel with this thing, use a MUCH stronger drill than your normal household 3/8" VSR corded drill. I burned up my old Ryobi using this hole saw. As in crackling, sizzling smoking... I finished the cut off with a Harbor Freight 1/2" hammer drill. So do I regret buying this? Nope. For the price it was impossible to beat, especially for the rare occasions I need to cut a 5" hole in something like sheet metal. Now that the job is done it will live in my tool box until I get that one friend that says, hey, you installed one of those Diesel heaters in your camper right? How did you cut the mounting hole in the floor?...

This supposedly cuts metal, we tried to use this on a very small piece of sheet metal and the drill bit broke off. Went to HD bought one there and it worked like a charm. Spend a couple extra dollars and just buy a better one.

It did the job, strong enough, heavy metal, you just need a good drill.

Very sharp, cuts fast. I found that deeper cuts (beyond the tooth height) can clog up with sawdust and overheat. Putting a shop vac on the cut while drilling solves this problem. When drilling I even hit a couple of nails: it went right through them, stayed sharp!
