The carbide cutters work fantastic in metal. Grind geometry is excellent. Unfortunately, The cutter body and shank are soft and VERY weak. Even in a slow feed, controlled cut in a milling machine, the shank will shear off after a low amount of cutting. If you have the ability and tooling, truing up the boss that the set screw goes through and holding that boss in a collet will give you a cutting monster. As an example, with a little coolant and good chip removal, you can cut 10 or more 1" thick discs of ductile iron with no problem. 50 cents worth of better steel for the body and good heat treatment would make this a great product. As is, expect the shank to break or bend quickly.

I bought this to drill some holes in 2mm thick aluminum for installing some cup holders. Worked like a champ - no issues with wobble. Made a pretty clean cut, and I just cleaned up the edge with a deburring tool. The teeth on this seem pretty robust and looks like it will last for quite a few cuts.

This hole saw cuts fine, but it is heavy to use overhead. The problem that I had is the non removable arbor shank is too short to use a dust bubble when cutting holes in my plaster ceiling for can lighting. The dust bubble would initially stay stationary when starting the hole and then start spinning, throwing dust out of the dust bubble defeating it's purpose. To be fair, my 1/2 inch Makita drill chuck fingers are recessed when opened up enough for the hole cutters arbor, your drill may work fine if the fingers are not recessed when open you open it for a 1/2 inch drill bit or arbor. I decided to buy a hole saw that will accept the replaceable arbor adapter (dewalt) that I always used in the past, the dewalt arbor adapter is long enough and works fine with my drill.I've raised my review to 4 stars due to seller contacting me, and offering my money back. I still stand by my original review, but acknowledge that not everyone will be using the hole saw with a dust bubble and then the arbor should be long enough to function as required. The seller has been exceptional to deal with and have been very responsive to my review. It is a heavy duty hole saw, and should be durable.

I needed to cut a 3-1/2” hole thru 1/2” of plywood and then German automotive steel. This cut thru no problem. I only had to do the one hole but the teeth are still super sharp. I expect this could cut a dozen holes like I needed to before it started losing its edge. The center bore held firmly unlike some HarborFreight garbage I’ve used in the past. Would definitely buy it again.

The 4" diameter really helped. The set screw for drill bit does not always secure bit. Drill bit spring falls off easily.

This worked great for the 4 inch hole I had to drill in the diamond plate steel on the flat bed of my truck
