It claims to be useful in cutting many materials, including wood. But...1. With the spring in place it cannot cut a hole in a standard 1x3 board because it’s not deep enough to cut all the way through. Try it and that compressed spring spinning against the wood burns and notches it. But with the spring removed, getting the cut piece out is extremely difficult because the pry-out slits are blocked by the wood and there are no push-out holes in the back.2. I cut a total of four disks from a standard pine board. On the fifth, the wood began to smoke as it cut because the teeth were already dull. And if that happens with wood it sure can’t cut metal.

This saw has no hole in the back of the blade to knock wood that gets stuck in it out. There are two side holes that I expect with work I can use to get stuck wood out. Maybe a trick I don't know. Anyway, I cut a hole in some 1 by 6, and now have a chunk stuck that looks like a pain to get out. Hopefully I can figure out how to get the wood out with out too much effort, otherwise for me it will be a one use saw.
