My old hole saws have gotten pretty beat up and were ready to be replaced, so I ordered these new ones. This is a really nice set of 12 hole saws with two extra bits. These seem really strong and well made and the one I tested seemed to cut through 1/2" particle board really well. While there are a lot of bits, I don't expect I'll ever really use some of the smaller ones as it's generally easier to just use a regular bit when possible, but it's nice to have the variety of larger ones. Each of the cutters have a hole in the side of them so you slip a screw driver into them to more easily remove whatever plug is inevitably stuck in them after you've used them. The case is super strong / high quality, I'm willing to bet it will outlast the bits it's so strong. The bits all snap into place so they don't fall out when you open / close the case.If you need a set a hole saws, I can definitely recommend this one, it's a nice quality set at a good price even if I never use some of the smaller bits.

These things are crazy good. They do take some time cutting through metal but they do the job and I’m very happy with this purchase.

This is a really nice set of hole saws. They look like quality. The case that holds the saws is really nice.I used the 1" hole saw in my test. I also used a drill press for the test, and ran it at 1500 RPM.First, I drilled a hole in 3/4" pine. It cut very easily, but the wood tended to clog the saw after about 1/8" of drilling. I had to retract the saw and then clean the pine shavings out of the gullet. The resulting hole was glass smooth.Next, I clamped a piece of 0.050" (approx. 18 gage) stainless steel and drilled it. It took some time to drill, but with patience, it had no problem drilling through the steel. I used the same rpm as the wood - 1500 - and that seemed to be a sweet spot for this size hole saw. there was very little burr on the metal after drilling.Afterword, I drilled a second hole in the pine to see how the blade held up after drilling the stainless steel. The hole was not as smooth as the first one, but still very smooth. It appears that drilling the stainless steel had very little affect on the sharpness of the teeth.Overall, I really like this saw set. Stainless steel is one of the toughest things to machine and this hole saw did the job. Although the teeth clogged often, this is not different than using conventional steel hole saws - they clog too, so I did not see this as a deal breaker in using these for wood.BTW, if you are going to use a hand drill, you really need a corded drill, unless you have a really high-powered cordless. Drilling by hand with any hole saw can be tricky, so you will have to experiment with that one on your own.

This is a HIGH QUALITY Hole Saw Set with the most common sizes for use with a non-SDS drill.I was impressed from the moment when i pulled it out of the cardboard box. The quality of the plastic case was an amazing presentation on the quality the whole set it, everything is built to extremely tight tolerances and it feels heavy and premium. The carbide teeth are definitely of high grade and i'd go as far as to claim that these would even cut thin stone with proper lubrication in addition to the obvious metal, plastic, and metal. The markings on it are etched in black for contrast clarity and also stamped on the rim of the holesaws. The one downside i can find on this set is that they could have included a hole on the size for material disposal, which leads me to believe this wasn't made for wood cutting, which is a shame, but i've been using it professionally to cut clean holes on cabinets to run wiring for over the range microwaves and water lines for dishwashers and reverse osmosis filters without issues, sometimes extracting the remaining wood piece is a pain without any holes to push the piece off, sure, the spring on the bit helps, but sometimes i get jammed pretty tight.Overall, if i had to guess the price of this set i'd put it north of $100 easily, at $59 (and even less with the coupon) i find it to be a great addition to anybody's toolbox if you do professional remodel or installation work.

Very nice hole saw kit. I really like the sharpness and their solid build. I have many hole saw bits and they are just jumbled in a little tool box (see pic). They have served me well over the years, but none have the carbide teeth. These things are built to cut. I cut two holes with two different bits in 3/4" pine and it blew through the pine like it was butter. I know it was pine, a very soft wood, but I just wanted to test them. It literally took no effort and seconds (maybe 20) to cut through, and it barely even took the paint off, only on the cutting edge. I was blown away. I can't wait til my next project or better yet my next metal cut to put these through the paces. I only wonder about two things. 1. The little springs on the center drill bit. Don't think they will last and don't really see their need. So don't care. 2. Only one small hole on the side. Most have two holes to pry out the cut material. You can alternate between sides with a screwdriver to remove the material. You'll probably destroy the spring also. Again, not a deal breaker. You'll just have to move the screwdriver from side to side to work the material out of the hole saw. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend them.
