These bits are a great value for the occasional user of such bits. A nice size assortment so I bought both sets to have a full range of sizes.

These are not the high quality bits you can buy, but they do the job. I have had a set of these for over 15 years now, and they still cut. If you press straight down without giving the bit a rest every few plunges, you will get burning, but a few up and downs, and burning is nearly non existent even in hard wood.

The blades cut very well on the first couple of attempts, however, they seemed to dull quite quickly.

I was a bit disappointed with this set, I thought Ryobi was a good choice but should have suspected something due to the low price. I bought this kit even though I only needed the 1 5/8" bit when I tried to use it found out the shaft was bent and it drilled a hole on an angle and ruined my piece. I ended up sharpening my old Irwin bit to redo my project. Something to be said for the old adage you get what you pay for, lesson learned when buying a set of seven forstner bits for the price of one. I did later use the 1 1/2" bit and it did a nice job the shaft on this one was straight.

Terrible, not sharp at all, can barely cut balsa wood. Dissapointed in a company like Ryobi to make something of such little quality
