The whole point of a forstner bit is to get a nice accurate flat bottom hole. I chucked it into my drill and holy cow does it run out! There's at least 1/8" of wobble on the tip, maybe more; I could not measure it. Imagine trying to make a nice hole in a piece of wood on your drill press... that part is going to moving all over the place as you try to drill straight down.

Fine for the price. Bit felt reasonably sharp but took much pressure to drill softwoods. I’ll hit it with a diamond stone before attempting to drill hardwoods.
