I have a Ruger 380 LCP with a laser site. I figured purchasing this and using it periodically to check the accuracy of the laser would be a quick way to be sure that the gun was generally going to be accurate. The laser is larger than the 380 ACP round. It will not fit in the clip, you have to insert it through the open action. However, it tells you not to close the action on the laser or it can damage the gun or the laser. The problem is, the barrel in that 380 is not locked in place, and floats , until the action is completely closed, therefore, the barrel movement prevents you from getting an accurate sighting With the bore laser to the mounted on the firearm. It was so cheap, it will not be worth my time to return it, but for me, it was useless.

Nice bore sight, well made, appears very accurate, but with one little design flaw, which makes it difficult to use properly on some micro pistols (i.e., P365-380). This bore sight has a rim and extractor groove on the base as if it were a bullet itself. Most bore sights don't have these. Their presence mean that to properly seat the bore sighter, you have to allow the slide to slam forward so the extractor can engage the rim, and the slide can move all the way forward. If this doesn't happen, the rim keeps the slide from sliding all the way forward, and leaves the barrel pointing upward slightly. Apparently, some reviewers never figured that out. I guess you could Dremel off the rim, but why bother?

We bought this boresighter for my wife's CCW. She has an M&P Bodyguard 380 Crimson Trace. It's the only handgun we own in .380 ACP so I don't know if our experience is specific to this particular weapon or to this particular boresighter for that matter. We own several other boresighters and they are all pretty simple to use. Activate the laser, open the action, slide it into the chamber and go. Not so with the GOTICAL .380 laser. It's a bit too long to slide into the chamber through the open action. It's too long for the magazine so we couldn't pop it in that way. We ended up locking the slide back, dropping it in through the mag well and fiddling it into place. As I said, we only own the one .380 handgun, so I don't know if this will be true for other models of handgun or for other mfr's lasers, but this was our experience.Once in the chamber, the boresighter functioned as expected. It only took a few minutes for my wife to line up the 2 dots. Once we get down to the range, she ought to be on the paper right from the start.

It will not allow the slide to fully close, which means the barrel is significatly lower, which mean the laser is not aiming at the point of impact, so you can't adjust your dot to it. Makes no sense.I gave it a 3 star rating because it may close in other firearms and the laser did work. ***I'm actually super angry because I tried to adjust my red dot to it and may have ruined the red dot because I adjusted the screws too deep. I read the manual and it said not to do that. Arggg, $150 Romeo Zero. Off to the range to sight it in the old fashioned way.
