This thing is a piece of junk. I bore sighted the rifle more accurately then this thing. Any distance over ten feet and the dot doubles. Which one should you use. Than at 20 yards it was like an inch apart and the size of a quarter. Spend a little more and get a quality laser. or waste a lot of ammo sighting the old fashion way!

The first one didn't fine though my barrel. It wouldn't shoot the beam straight through the bore. The company responded well by allowing me to return it and they replaced it with a new one. I got it today and used it to sight my rifle. After I got it perfect at 25 yards, I removed and replaced the bore sight several times without adjusting the scope. The beam never shone on the cross hairs again. Not a real precision tool. Itll get you close, but verify with live ammunition. It should reduce your ammo expense by a few bucks at the very least.

worthless product do not waste your money or time the laser is very weak cant see more than twenty yards in day and batteries wear out in minutes as well which yes they give two sets pf batteries but teally who sights a 308 at 20yards as said 308but doesnt chamber so laser shine through bore properly

So it sits in there nicely but DO NOT CLOSE THE BOLT otherwise you will need a rod to remove it. Range I go to is 2 hours away as I can generally access it without others given me zeroing/checking freedom at distance. Anyway, target it in on a 15m target then ready to rock, then bam, can't get laser sight out. I did not bring a dowel with me this time. That was my mistake. I should have brought one just for best practice. It's .308 bore, but not precise. Not sure what weapon they tested this with, but it's not a standard milspec .308.Also, the sight needs to really be used in shade. The range I was at only had a couple shade spots to test this in. I wouldn't say that this is abnormal though, just don't be expecting to pop it on and see it on a tan target in the sun. Also, please note, I had similar problems with the .223 version, but I never tried to fully clothes the bolt. Both were purchased at the same time same vendor.
