It is very sturdy and rugged. Appeared to fit in the barrel perfectly. It just doesn’t work. I may have just got a lemon.

Ignore the comments about it not being perfect. None of these are. Rotate it, find the average of where it points, and align to that. Works on 22lr and 22 mag.

I got this laser bore sight for my .22 pistol and had a couple of things I didn't like, although the quality was great and the laser was plenty bright for outside use.First, it didn't fit my .22 -- too loose -- and even the largest of the extra O-rings was still a little too small. Furthermore, changing the three O-rings was a bit of a challenge -- they are so small and tight fitting. There may be a secret way to do it that I don't know about.Second, after inserting the three small button batteries into the laser head, the laser would fire even without the barrel end being screwed into it. I suspect it was due to the paper insulator around the inside of the battery compartment not being sufficient to prevent the topmost battery from contacting the side of the compartment, which would then complete the circuit to fire the laser. This made it necessary to remove the batteries each time the sight was used. Not a big deal, but shouldn't be necessary. In short, this bore sight is excellent quality and should work well for other people, but for me, I couldn't use it.

Works great, just be aware it stays on once the batteries are installed with no shutoffYou remove the batteries to turn it off. The company stands behind their product 100% when a problem is encountered.

The design of this bore laser is excellent and so is the manufacturing and quality. The O-rings used for centering the laser are okay, but they are the weak spot in the use of this laser for co-witness sighting. Bore lasers are always approximate indicators of POI. Bore lasers are never 100% centered in the barrel regardless of their design. This one works as well as my more expensive one.I tested it in 10 different 22's. I sighted a couple of them using it, and then tested the sighting at the range. At 10 yds, both gun's POI was off, and both needed sight adjustments, but the adjustments were small. I shoot 1 to 1.5 inch groups at 10 yards with all my guns using iron sights, so I know when they are off.Two of my guns have fixed lasers that I use to quickly sight center mass on moving targets. I check them periodically to make sure they are still close to zero. Due to their design, gun mounted lasers never hold zero constantly. The lasers I use have only a small amount of drift, so they work for my purposes. When I compared the fixed laser's POI to the bore laser they were off about 1 inch at 10 yds. That suggests the bore laser is off somewhere between a half a tenth and one one hundredth of an inch at the barrel crown.. That doesn't seem like much but over 10 yds it impacts POI.Supplying different sized O-rings is a big plus. Supplying different sized O-rings without specifically giving their size is a big negative. Those O-rings are going to need replacing and not having the exact size complicates the replacement. Small, medium and large is a joke.Overall, I like this bore laser, especially at the $12 or so price, but it's usefulness is going to decline fairly quickly without O-ring replacement sizes easily available. (UR Smart sent me some. Excellent customer service.)Customer S 5+Update: July 2024. I use this laser so much I decided to get a 2nd one. When it came in, it wasn't what I expected. They've downsized the package, cut the number of spare o-rings and packaged the spare batteries in a way that makes them hard to get out. Even though the laser appeared to be the same, the feeling of quality just wasn't there. The value surprise wasn't there. The other box was bigger, the batteries were individually packaged and there were several sets of o-rings. I'm sure these changes have cut their costs, which I understand, but that doesn't mean I like it. The laser seems to work the same. I removed a star for the new version.
