This laser sight works great. However, it did get jammed and damaged when I tried jacking it into the rifle, so I'm not sure if the laser is straight anymore.

When I installed this device and first looked through the scope the dot was almost out of the scope to the bottom. I know the scope is not that far out of line. When I turned the bore sight device in a lathe and onto a target 3' away the dot wobbled about 1/4". It was obvious the dot was not down the center of the barrel. The laser rests on what looks like an epoxy ring so there there is no way to center it. Nice brass case and bright laser but ... with no way to center the dot it is useless as a bore sight. Returned to Amazon.

Originally bought this a while back, but believe I received a dud. It would flicker as if it was a short, but these things happen with electronics, so I emailed the seller and they went above and beyond to make things right. They responded almost immediately each time, and shipped out the replacement the same day. I've worked in customer service one way or another for all my life, and these people do a fantastic job in the customer service department.I received the replacement and this one seems to be on point. No flickering, used it for the time needed sight my rifle in and then even played with my cat for a while until the batteries slowly faded out. Better batteries would probably be beneficial, but at the price you get this for, it's cheaper than the batteries themselves at Walgreens, so you can't complain. It's manufactured well and sturdy, and works as advertised. With the quality of the replacement, and the extremely good customer service, I'd be more than confident ordering from this company again.UPDATE: Customer Service is sending replacement after discussing my issue. I received quick and helpful responses to my concerns. Will update again upon receiving the replacement and verifying quality

The shipping time was accurate. A month or so in transit. When it arrived it said to install the supplied batteries - there were no batteries supplied, however there was a space in the packaging where the batteries would go. I installed the batteries that I purchased and a brilliant laser beam appeared - Now how do I shut it off. Well to shut this unit off you just take the batteries out again and hope you don't loose them. I expected this to be a twist on and off, however you have to twist the cap all the way off and remove the batteries to turn off.Item works - that is about the only good thing about this - would prefer it to work intermittently i.e. on/off switch!

So I got it. It looks good enough, haven't tried it out yet though. I'll explain why in a sec. Fits nice in my sks but came with no batteries? Your photos show that it has batteries, the back of the package says it should have batteries? But yet. Not batteries. So now I gotta go find batteries before I can use it...

First it came with no instructions, how hard can it be its a laser right? It has 3 set screws on the tip, these are to align the laser. Out of the package mine was perfectly straight. I did the table top trick, and a quick roll showed it was dead level. Ive read a great amount of reviews where it wasnt, I will touch on that in a minute. It came with 4 batteries, only needs 3.Installed the batteries and screwed on the base, laser came on strong. No complaints there. Anyone who complains about the batteries should be ashamed of themselves, they are cheap batteries. Yes its annoying if they are already dead but still you didnt buy the laser for the batteries did you? Ive used it for about 20 mins and its getting dim but still its potential use is only suppose to be for minute or 2 tops.Loaded into my sks and went to town setting my red dot at approx 50 yards. Had to be covert as Im sure my neighbors wouldnt like a nut job laying prone on his back porch setting up a rifle. I live in town homes so I waited till a time where I knew most would be either indoors or in bed. Setup the red dot and ejected the round, and it fell to the concrete. Upon this the laser when rolled had a nasty wobble. So here are those set screws. There are no directions on how to use them, this is where you have to be smarter than a set screw. As I am I went to work messing with them till it again when rolled makes a straight line on the wall. Rechambered the round and again at 50 yards it was perfect with my red dot.For all of the people who complain about wobble, take 5 mins to setup the laser, it is not that hard.

I purchased this item recently and it arrived quickly and packaged accordingly and simple. It did not have have any variation on the laser light it self as I placed the batteries in it and then capped it and it came on and placed it on the table and rolled it around and the light stayed very centered. I used on several AK variant rifles which I have customized and used rifle scopes to use with the ability to use iron sights and quickly obtained a dead center boresight and scope alignment and the iron sights. The red dot is very bright and I would recommend that you start on an object that is white or dark to see the sight then bring it up to the preset aiming point as a guide.I will say that the batteries did not drain quickly, they do turn on the laser quickly. I did; however, chamber the round and closed the bolt without turning it down to keep it in the chamber as I did the line of sight and scope cross hair adjustments. I can say this for this product that it would recommend it over any outside the barrel boresighter as it is much more precise as those may have a hugh variation and can and will offset the line of sight and the actual path of the bullet to point of impact. I set my scope at 25 yards or 75 feet for initial point of aim and able to then make the necessary shot as they are further out if need be. WIth 7.62 x 39 you will reach out and touch someone. For the price its a good investment and the best way to obtain extra batteries which you may find in more dollar stores or Big Lots for cheap. It will help your shoulder and at the cost of ammo why not have one in your tool kit as it is clearly marked as 7.62 x 39 on the side.

I needed to sight in a red dot scope in scout configuration on my SKS.After doing some light research on 7.62x39 bore sighters offered on Amazon, I settled on this particular make given the majority of positive reviews given by users. I encountered no issues with the batteries nor with the laser itself, it seemed dead-on when looking through the iron sights which were already sighted in. The scope took less than five minutes to successfully sight in for the range I needed.I did a sort of stress test on the unit as well, cycling it several times and letting it drop onto concrete with no negative effect. Good, sturdy unit at a great price, cannot beat this! Even though there's no brand, don't be fooled.. most are made in China these days and there's very little that will set these apart from brand name makes.
