This thing works great. No fuel or batteries to change. My little ones can’t work it so I don’t have to worry.

I see this has all good reviews. I don't know, maybe I got a dull one, but I really had to lean into it to make it go through. I was just going through a 1/2" piece of maple, but it did start to burn at the end. It did the job, just not easily.

So far this has worked great for me. I'm actually using it on old game consoles to install s-video jacks into and had previously been using a 1/2 inch forstner for this and then having to enlarge from there. This will now allow me to get the exact hole I need in the old brittle plastic without the risk of damaging it much quicker. How long it will last is unknown as I've only used it twice so far and it seems to be holding up just fine. Though it is designed for wood and not plastic so it could wear out quicker.

Great tool. Fast cut, and I did nearly 100 holes in maple with a single bit.

Most Forstner bit set don't have include 16th sizes. These did exactly what I needed. I use them for mounting the tuning machines on a bass guitar I am building. They cut a nice smooth straight hole and I was able to mount the tuners perfectly. Not much else to say. They are drill bits and they drill holes.

I use forstner drill bits almost exclusively. Excellent for drilling out dowells on antique furniture. Leaves a flat bottomed hole.
