Very poor quality! Grinding on cutting edges leaves steel tissue at edge and significant bluing on cutting edges shows that grinding to sharped bits was too hot and thus took out the temper of the steel thus making it very soft. Do not buy if you want to bore holes in butter let alone wood.

The Forstner bits are really good, very sharp and strong. They are my most used bits in my woodworking. The box is great for storing too, it is very distinctive and stands out amongst my other wooden boxes.

You can see in the photos how these arrived in the box. But beyond that in the photos you can see the complete lack of any quality here. There are metal burrs on nearly every bit along the sharp edges. And speaking of the edges, have a look at the almost serrated appearance. All of the edges had these serrations and metal burrs. All the edges were equally dull. And note also that these are being sold on Amazon under multiple alphabet soup company names, but if you look closely at the images they are all the same box and bits. Stick with a name brand if you actually need a quality set that will last. I returned these after unboxing.

Good product for the price

I ordered this set because I needed to drill some shallow holes and I could get it fast. I received it today and put in right to use. I was drilling into soft wood and the bits wood hardly break the surface. I ended up more pressure than one should for this kind of work and was able to get the holes in but this is one of the poorest performing sets I have owned and I have own a lot after retiring as a contractor with more than 25 years in the business. Its too bad. I cant recommend this set.

This product was a gift to our son who is quite the woodworker. He LOVED this set and has already put it to too use. These drill bits are hard to find in a set like this so it solved that problem. Great product.

The case quality control is poor. The bits did not fit well inside the case. The bits need relief grinding on the back of the throats. They left grinding burs on the bits. The stampings for the bit sizes are vague on a few of the bits.
