I have been repairing cars for many years, but I always had a headache when I encountered the repair of Ford 3V engines, until I got this valve spring compressor. Perfectly compatible with 4.6L, 5.4L and 6.8L engines, it is smooth to install and remove valve springs, and it is also very handy when servicing camshafts and valve seals, which greatly improves work efficiency. It is a must-have for car repairmen!

I'm an auto repair shop owner who buys a lot of repair tools, and this compressor is amazing. It works with a wide range of Ford models and is highly compatible. The workmanship is fine, the details are in place, and the connection of each part is very close. In actual use, it is stable and reliable, and can successfully complete the task every time, which greatly improves the maintenance efficiency of our store and customer satisfaction.

If you have a Ford 5.4 3v, you probably know that it is a matter of time before your engine needs timing work. Ford built a great bottom end, but a not-so-great top end plagued with issues, including rocker arms, hydraulic lifters, phasers, tensioners, chain guides, and a weak oiling system. This tool works great at compressing the spring, and allowing the rockers to be removed. It also has a little cap on the end of the piston part that can be unscrewed a little if you need to compress the spring a little more.If you are lucky enough to have one of these engines, sooner or later it will start making noise. Clicking for failing rockers, a startup rattle for failing chain tensioners, chain noise for failing guides, and clunks for failed phasers. This is one of the custom tools you will need to do your engine rebuild. You will also need about $2000 worth of parts if you are going to go with genuine Ford updated parts (which I STRONGLY recommend if you want to keep your car). This tool works great for compressing the springs to remove rockers. (remember to push down on the valve to prevent the keeper from popping off and losing your valve to the cylinder). You will need this to switch out a rocker, or to safely detension the camshaft for removal to inspect your cam journals.Watch the Youtube videos by ford tech makuloco on youtube.
