Very simple to useIt honetly looks like a simple tool that you can substitute a screwdriver or pry barI have used both in the past but they tend to slip and move around which could possibly score your cams etcBut this Schley tool is damn near perfect and makes short work of removing and installing liftersIt worked perfectly for changing out my hydraulic lifters in my Evo 3 (4g63t)well worth the money

This tool worked great on my 2005 kia sorento. I was able to easily remove the rockers and install new lifters within minutes. Much safer than trying to use a prybar. I love this tool but it may not work on all vehicles.

Late model Mitsubishi engines are notorious for lifter ticking due to poor oil circulation. The lifters were revised and a new design was introduced around the year 1998. In order to change them the rocker arms in the head have to be removed. To do this people have tried all sorts of homemade methods such as putting duct tape on pry bars to compress the valve springs to release the rocker arm. That is where this tool comes in. With this tool the compression of the spring came be done with complete safety to both yourself and the parts on the car. A slipped pry bar can scar the metal on the camshaft lobe or damage the roller on the rocker arm. The rocker arm can also go flying and hit you or become lost falling inside the engine compartment. Using the tool you do not have these issues. It is identical to the special service tool shown in the Mitsubishi Service Manual. The build quality of the tool is excellent and will last a lifetime but you will probably just use it once anyway. It is made in the USA which is a huge plus.
