Tool will not stay square to valve spring retainer, very wobbly, would not recommend. Could cause spring and retainer to fly apart under tension. I have already trashed it and ordered a more professional tool.

This tool is just what you’ll be looking for if you’re working on a vintage Honda. Valve spring compressors I found at my local auto parts store didn’t allow me to reach what I need to do to the head shape. This one made the job super easy on my CB160.Be sure to wear eye protection, just in case, and have a telescoping magnet nearby too.Lastly, the only other thing to consider is the handle will slide out of its hole pretty easily. You may want to wrap some tape around both ends of the handle when using.

I used this to installed upgraded (stiffer) valve springs on a set of gt40p heads. The tool flexes a bit and I had to wiggle it around to get the valve locks in but after installing all springs it still held it's original shape. Decent tool for the price.

It worked but the ball that holds the valve clamp on the end of the threaded shaft fell out immediately and broke 💔

Worked as it was intended, good for small engines & light automotive. Not sure how well it would work for heavy duty valves.
