Features and Benefits:
It is designed to make replacing valve stem seals & valves prings, retainers, and even valve guides relativelymore easily.
User can do the valve jobs without removing the head from the block (please make sure to pressurize the head).
This valve spring compressor will save you time and money on a new head gasket, and the time it takes to remove the head.
The tool is also quite easy to use simply attach the tool to the head with the supplied bolt and washers.
Then simply mount the steel "cup" onto the retainer that you want to work on, as you "push" the cup down on the retainer.
Then you can release the keepers to remove the retainers and the rest of parts.

The tools came with all the nuts, bolts and springs adapter. The quality of the tools is great and it’s very easy to use. The long screw that screw down on the adapter would need improvement. I would preferred a bolt type.

Accurate machining, smooth operation, allows you to pop those keepers out of your valves without having to use a C-clamp style compressor. It might take a little longer but it's worthwhile for smooth compression of the valve spring.

This tool is cheap for a reason. I was lucky to get 4 done before it crapped out. Had to modify the tool to be used once more

My first time using it and it took me probably 1 hour to install all springs retainers and keepers absolutely 💯

Bought for building my 6-Bolt Spyder swap. Always used other methods of installing including a conventional valve spring compressor tool with homemade adapters, shoulda ordered one of these along time ago cut my valve spring install down by 90%.

Worked great! I had 3 cylinder heads to break down and the two generic valve spring compressors I had just could not fit into the tight spots to get the job done. This was a good value for sure! I would recommend it to everyone working on their own motor. There was a comment that it might not be exactly aligned parallel with the valve stem. I perceived the same thing.. but it was so slight. I’d call it an optical illusion or not materially significant to the function. I never leave 5 star reviews but I guess never say never. Hope this info is helpful.

For the most part it works well, but do yourself a favor and throw out the long bolt with an allen drive on top, it stripped out on me after the first valve. I went up to ACE Hardware and got a nice full threaded stainless hex bolt and rounded the tip to fit in the pocket on top of the valve spring adapter, thread size on mine was M10-1.50 X 70-75mm in thread length. (Home Depot and Lowe's did NOT carry the length in full thread that you need)

This tool is perfect for 4g valve removal for the diy er. It does take a little longer to use than a dedicated bench mounted spring compressor. It’s not bulky, comes with decent hardware and the measurements seem to be spot on. If you have a hard time using this you either have a defective piece or you shouldn’t be doing this kind of work. Make sure you use plenty of lube on the threads or you will gall them up.
