If you work on engines of any appreciable size, you must have a way to lap valves - to seal them properly against the valve seat. The valve contact surface, and the seat contact surface must be ground, then lapped with an abrasive compound. You do that by rotating the valve against the seat rapidly. These handles easily will do that in most cylinders. After lapping and then cleaning the valve and seat area, you can see how well you did by pouring mineral spirits into the upside down cylinder. If the mineral spirits runs out, you have a little more lapping to do. As you rotate the handle back and forth between your hands, bump the valve up and down a little bit to freshen the compound as it works. It's a satisfying and rewarding operation, and I can't believe you can get this set with spare suction cups for such a low price.
