When the Sylvania bulbs on our oven hood started flickering I went to the local hardware stores to find replacements. None were to be had. I found some that looked similar, but they didn't work. These were sort of my last hope. They worked beautifully. Delighted I found them.

I have a range hood that takes two 50 w halogens. The generic or no name box store “replacements” work in regular sockets but not in the hood outlets. They don’t even come on annd both outlets were tested and the no name also done in the outlet for the remaining working halogen. Only Sylvanias work Lucky to find them on line .as I visited the Sylvania Store and the only thing listed was automotive products.Good customer service

I appreciate all the previous reviewers because I wanted the light to last long, not be the cheapest available. The one it replaced was fifteen years old so I stuck with the original brand instead of a no-name brand. It cost more and for some unknown reason took a lot longer to get here but it fit perfectly and looking forward to another fifteen years of use.

My outside motion lights are old, and I had some trouble finding quality replacement bulbs. These bulbs are identical to the ones that came with the fixtures.
