I purchased these primarily to provide heat in an outdoor box to keep our stray cat warm during the winter. They work well, they are on 24-7 and we get 2 + months (about 1,500 hours of continuous use) out of them before they burn out.

These bulbs are much smaller than my normal bulbs but they work just as well. They are a great brightness for lighting my floodlights in the back of my house. I hope they last as long as my normal ones ( about 5 years)

They do make a mention or two of use for outdoors which is what I had in mind under a protective eve. I really thought the short neck would work but they wouldn't reach in those sockets so I'll have to use them elsewhere. Not a problem, I will end up using them somewhere.Tried them out and they worked great. The color temperature is 2700K making them pretty darn yellow. This may even be more yellow than the typical standard bulb - they look like it to me. These days I prefer the daylight spectrum for most uses except for outside.Nothing wrong with these as long as the short neck will work for you.
