They do not last long before they burn out.

So far these are working perfectly. Well, one is anyway, as I only needed to replace one of the bulbs in a two fixture outdoor motion sensing light. I have the second as a spare.Though I was concerned with this, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the manufacturer's package is made in such a way that damage while shipping is darn near impossible. Probably the best packaging I've ever seen for any kind of light bulbs.

Authentic glass lens, good quality base and seal, large diameter lens. Works well outdoors to elluminate my American flag which always flies day and night. I tried using the mini spots that did not do well in damp weather nor did they have any longevity. These floods are similar to what I have in my outdoor backyard security motion lighting. I have this one on a timer; ON at dusk, off at around 11PM. A well made flood light.

We have a backyard that kind of leads into an area that we call the lower 40 and it has a lot of animals, but more importantly, it's pitch black out there, especially in the winter time. There's absolutely no residual light shining out there from anything after sunset, and that's where our little doggo goes to do his business after dinner. So this light has been on lifesaver and plus if we hear the motion sensors go off, it's nice to be able to flip on a bright light and see what's actually going on out there.

Incandescent PAR38 bulbs such as this are no longer available locally to me... Only LED types... but the automatic fixture I use these in do not work with LED bulbs. So I ordered these... so far so good. A little pricey compared to what they used to be though.
