How many snap rings - aka C clips or “those darn disappearing springy things” - have you lost in space? By design they are short tempered, impatient, ready to fly out of your hand at the least opportunity. Well, sure enough, my first attempt with the MFBJCX Snap Ring Pliers produced the same result. My fault, not the tool.I carelessly forgot not to squeeze again until I had the detached snap ring under control. The pliers effortlessly slipped the clip off its shaft. They would have held the clip securely if I had let them. A strong spring keeps the plier’s jaws open, holding the snap ring securely - as long as you don’t squeeze the pliers. This should - does, if you pay more attention than I - make handling snap rings simple and secure.—————Sharing is life’s greatest joy

These are for sure a budget tier tool, but they are actually pretty good and they work well. I got these specifically to remove four deep seated snap rings on a barbell, and they worked flawlessly. The prongs are plenty stiff and it's fairly easy to get them to engage the rings. The pivot is very good - essentially no slop or wobble while using them. The return spring feels great too. Honestly, for a budget tool these are rather surprisingly impressive.Overall worth it. Budget for sure, but they work great, feel good in the hand, and actually seem well made. We'll see how long the nibs last, but they've already done what I got them for and they look no worse for the wear. I would get these again.
