I had a hard time getting these to crimp correctly. Instead of crimping correctly one side wraps backwards.You have to try to get the h clip seated correctly into the pliers. Might try again, but went back to the j-clips, they are a lot easier to use.

These crimps have been great for crimping together chicken wire fencing for our duck cage, you get several bags worth of crimps and once crimped are very difficult to open up, so they're great for sheltering against foxes and coyotes if that's the kind of predator in your area. The pliers DO work great, they have a good handle on them which is relatively comfortable, but as a large man with big hands I still have some issues getting these crimps started, so it's not the easiest method for crunching down these specific crimps. They work though and function ass should.

This item is extremely difficult to use. You have to hold the wire while trying to hold a tiny clip and fit it into the exact small slots of the tool and then it struggles to crush it correctly anyway. Doesn't work on wire if it's too big and doesn't fit in narrow wire because the tool has to fit in. We went back to using zip ties because they were much easier and faster to use than this tool.

I have yet to really get a good hold on how to use these. Hopefully once I do they’ll be perfect for connecting panels of hardware cloth.
