These are cost effective hog rings that shouldn't rust, so from that perspective they are great and should do a good job holding automotive upholstery on. They bend into shape easily and hold strong. The one issue I have is that they are a tad bit too big for one of my hog ring pliers and stretch the limits of my other pliers. I've been able to get them on, but they are a little more difficult to load into the pliers than others I've used.

I make my own custom-length bungee-type cords, and these hog rings work perfectly, especially when you get the matching pliers. Trying to use ordinary pliers is not recommended. I would (and will, when I need more) buy these again.
