I LOVE this mattress protector! I have raved about it to many family members and friends! ...that's why I came back here to update my review, only to find I never actually reviewed it. 😳"ORIGINAL" REVIEW 😉 (February 2016)I purchased this protector after hours of research, with the intention to protect my 1st ever mattress purchase. I wanted something that was easy to clean, waterproof and didn't make a racket everytime someone shifted on it like with the plastic protectors from my childhood. I also wanted something that would protect the bed from bedbugs. I live in the Northwest, where bedbugs aren't exactly an issue. But, I knew I couldn't see the future, and I had heard the horror stories about them and figured, why not throw some extra protection into this.I also loved the fact this company believes so much in their products, they back it with a 10 year guarantee! This wasn't a cheap purchase as a young adult moving into their first place, but it seemed like the best choice to get my money's worth.UPDATE (December 2020)I STILL love this mattress protector! I also have never been so grateful for such a pricey purchase... next to getting my dream dog, the going extinct, Welsh Springer Spaniel.This mattress protector has been through a lot! It has protected my bed from cat puke, pet hair (rabbit, dogs, cats), water spills, unexpected "that time of the month", someone getting sick on it, and more.Its been washed many times and is easy to put back on the bed.A few months back, I noticed the protector was wearing thin in near the middle of the bed. I also noticed a change in texture and sound when running my hand across it.The next time I pulled it off the bed to wash it, I tried to test it for leaking, but when you're short and don't have an extra pair of hands, it was hard to tell. I believe it was more water resistant at this point.I contacted the company via email and they responded pretty fast. They asked me to send a picture of the "damaged" spot and my order number . I sent them a video of me running my hand across the area, so you could hear the difference, as a picture didn't really show much. They were totally ok with the video proof and immediately sent me a new protector. Not only that, but they had updated their product since my purchase and they sent me the updated version 100% free! They even covered the shipping!PROS• 100% Waterproof• Easy enough to remove and wash• Washes up beautifully• Stretchy with plenty of room for a thick mattress topper• Very well made• Excellent customer support• Quiet (there is minimal noise. Not enough to bother me, someone who's a light sleeper with dog-like hearing)• Soft material for being waterproofCONS (really not something that I feel goes against the company)• When washing, it does trap a lot of water (but duh, it's a waterproof protector, any of them would and SHOULD when washed! I didn't feel this should count any stars less, when asked about the ease of cleaning.)• Started to wear out after a few years (but the company replaced it 100% FREE OF CHARGE)• I do find that the protector does shift around a bit (not a huge deal, I just tuck the scrunchy part of the bottom protector back under the bed when I change the sheets weekly. This is probably due to the roominess of the protector, which allows for the addition of a thick mattress and topper)Would I recommend it?YES! And I have over and over! Anytime someone brings up their mattress, or talks about how they bought a new mattress, I rave about this protector!Was it worth the price?Heck yeah, every penny! Even after it started to wear out, I contacted the company and the sent me a new one without any cost to me. They even sent the updated version!

Since we bought a new mattress, and because I travel a lot and we sometimes eat in bed, this seemed like an all around solution. While we haven't spilled anything, and I don't believe I've brought home any bedbugs, it makes it hard to extoll its virtues. As the title implies, I hope I don't have to find out how good it is.I would say that it is a bit noisy because the material is a bit like nylon or perhaps a plastic polymer type coating. So, tossing and turning at night does create a bit of noise.The price was good and it seems to have a good seal at the end to ensure nothing gets in to the mattress.

Great quality mattress protector !I have a very deep queen sized bed and I was worried that it wouldn't fitIt fit perfectly and didn't take away from the plushness of my mattress like other mattress protestorsInstallation Tip: do not unzip the protector completely when putting it on your bed. Figure out what direction it's supposed go on your bed first then slowly unzip the protector and slip it on to the mattress bit by bitI read other reviews that said installation was difficult because there are no instructions provided with the protector but this trick worked for me.It is true though ... Instructions would be helpful but it took me about 30 mins to get it on ( my mattress is very heavy )Just don't unzip all the way until you know you have the protector in the correction position !Great zipper closure ... Let's nothing in or outFar more cost efficient than my initial purchase from the bay for a ridiculous $150.00 ....I returned it as soon as I got malouf in the mailHighly recommend

At first was a little complicated figuring out how it should go on as the top is removable so that you can unzip and wash it.It was hard getting the top back on once i unzipped.The portion that attached the zipper was made from cheap material and seemed as it was going to rip.The material the mattress is made of was very good material, waterproof and breathable, stretchy.The protector had more than enough room to hold the mattress without strain.My mattress has 3 foam tops, one of which was over sized and folded over the mattress but the mattress protector covered it with no issueWe have NOT had any uninvited visitors since then and I have not been bitten once from a bb!!!FYI - this doesn't mean bb wont crawl on top of the protector. Also I did put in some elbow grease prior to putting on this protector on which probably did the trick. I cleaned the bbs from my mattress with spraying RUBBING ALCOHOL, picking off the bbs and then wiping down the area with BLEACH. (I got minor chemical burns from the bleach on my hands and so much scrubbing -USE GLOVES)This is a 2 person Job, (1 person to hold the mattress and 1 to put on the protector)I would def. recommend. this protector.

I must say I was very impressed how the outside box is, it feels and looks elegant. I was scared to touch it almost. I must note that I had just a bit of a hard time opening it, since the plastic is like a small box you push in and pull out to open. Once I got that cover out. I immediately put it on my mattress. It fill perfectly, it snuggled my queen size bed just right. Considering my mattress is a deep 3 layer bed, I just couldn't be happy. I purchased this right away when I found a bed bug and trapped the little monster! Haven't had any problems since. It a good sturdy material, it doesn't make any noise like a previous cover I had purchased to a similar problem previously. So if your looking for a good cover, I'd highly recommend this!! Just make sure you purchase the right size!

The Sleep Tite Mattress Protector fits our 16" thick mattress very well. It was easy to put on (two person job) and the thick fabric will certainly help to keep dust mites at bay for my severe allergy. I'm pleased with this product. Great price, prompt shipping and clear cleaning instructions were included.

My girlfriend and I purchased this protector for our Sleep Innovations 10" Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress (Queen) as an extra line of defense for the brand new mattress. The product was delivered two days early, it was packaged perfectly and was very easy to get out of the box and onto the bed.It took us a few minutes to orient the protector correctly but part of this was due to the difficulty of manipulating the memory foam mattress enough to get the protector underneath it. Once we had it positioned, we laid the top cover over the top of the mattress and used the zipper to attach it. It fit perfectly and seems to be very secure.Our biggest concern when purchasing this protector was the risk that it would change the feel of the mattress, or cause the annoying crinkling sound that you can get from other protectors. This protector is made well enough that we experienced none of that. The outside fabric, the part that faces up once the protector is installed, is made of a cloth-like fabric while the underside, the side touching the mattress, is made of a plastic/impervious material which provides the protection. This design is ideal as it accomplishes the goal of protecting the mattress without compromising the comfort of the mattress.Overall, we are very pleased with this protector and continue to enjoy it each and every night.***UPDATE*** April 20, 2012 ***UPDATE***We are still using this product today and it is FANTASTIC. We removed it to wash it and checked the mattress for any sort of wear and tear - none whatsoever. We have had two minor spills - both colored, but nothing harsh like red wine. We immediately removed the fitted sheet and checked the top of the protector. The liquid was beaded up on it and had not seeped through at all.Truly a great protector that will actually PROTECT your investment. I would still rate this 5 stars today. Niece was sleeping over and she ended up having an accident in the middle of the night - guess that last cup of water was a bad idea. We woke up to find about a 2' circle of urine and needless to say, we were nervous. We got her taken care of and cleaned up and then went in to survey the damage. Unzipped the top cover slowly and lo-and-behold, nothing. Not a spec of wetness on the mattress. Keep in mind, the accident was already dry on the sheets and the top part of the cover so it had obviously happened early in the night. The mattress had no rings, no odor, nothing...no trace of the incident.We threw the entire cover into the wash (just to be safe) and it came out looking brand new. Incredible!Without a doubt, this protector has done its job and it has done its job well. Every time the girlfriend and I change the sheets we comment about it, "Man, this cover is just plain awesome!", "Can you imagine if we didn't have this cover?"...Before you even ask, no, we are not at all being compensated by ENCASE for writing these reviews. I'm passionate about this thing and if I ever question it, I simply unzip it and look at our bright white memory foam mattress and just bask in the glory of a fantastic purchase decision.
