I gave this a 3 star rating only b/c of the very strong odor from this plastic cover, despite airing it out for days. It affects my breathing and I have not even tried encasing my mattress in it, nor slept on the mattress. The $21 price point is OK but now that I will probably return it, I will incur a $6 shipping fee....so much for not realizing this doesn't fall under free prime return.

I ordered 2 of these to encase my kids 4” thick brand new foam mattresses for our motorhome we plan to live and travel in. The 4” foam was cut to 30”x75”x4” which 30x75 is the supposed dimensions of this cover. One of them ripped a hole In it when putting the foam in, both were extremely oversized. A “cot” mattress is never going to be 8-12” thick, it’s a cot size! Cot mattresses are thin! This cover is made to accommodate a thick, very thick mattress. There was so much extra vinyl fabric it was ridiculous, I had to fold it all over and duct tape it to the Underneath to make it “work”. Long story sort, super disappointed! Also I prefer not to have a plasticy cover, but if it fit well I wouldn’t care. Nothing good to say here!

So far, it has kept the mattress safe from spills. It is big enough to fit thicker mattresses which is great because I was considering a 5 inch one instead of a 3 inch one. It has been shoved against other objects and hasn’t torn. It has enough leeway that I can fold up the mattress with the cover on it. It is flexible and doesn’t make all those crinkly sounds that some other vinyl covers do. If this one is ever damaged, I will buy it again.Update: I don’t understand what happened, but now there is a hole in it, a couple months after receiving it.

We were hunting for "cot" size mattress cover for our roll-away-bed. This cover seems to be good quality and correct size for cot mattress. It is made for a thicker mattress than a roll-away bed but since the matress has to fold to close the bed, this turned out to be an advantage.
