Don’t buy. It broke after the third use. I can’t believe the shaft is hollow inside! Not only that but it damaged my bit holder too!!

Do cabinets for a living and it's a pain sharpening smaller bits if the quick connect is on them. The fact I can still throw this in the impact (because it's lighter and spins faster old timers) but take it off when it gets dull makes it AWESOME! Drilled thousands of holes for hardware and installing. Not issues or wobble, super solid and great value. Quick and easy bit changing.

Apparently do not use the impact to tighten the collet... I literally put the 5/8 wrench on the collet and pressed the impact button for a second. It twisted the entire hex shank so definitely can't use it for what I need it for... I need to drill using a step down 3/8 tri shank bit through two refrigerator containers stacked on top of each other, almost 2ft of extensions etc... This truly has been a nightmare finding extensions and products that say they are impact rated yet my basic Dewalt 20v drill breaks impact rated items.. Will get a replacement and will certainly not use the impact again. Besides that seems to be a good product

Unfortunatly it did not work with 1/32” bit. It was too loose to grab the bit, we broke the bit trying to make it work.

Very useful. Solid. Wash it and the drill with a solvent to remove lubricant residue. I found using something to rough up the drill shank a little is useful for a good grip. I would buy again if needed.

These adapters allow you to buy less expensive "regular" quality drill bits and make them a quick change bit. I have 2 full sets of these adapters, one for wood with brad point drills and another for metals. Every Snappy Tools tool I have works great and is well made.

These collets are excellent. I chuck it up in my DeWalt impact and a moment later I either have a hole or a shattered drill bit. It drills about 4 times faster, and eliminates the jammed up bit when it breaks through due to the impact mechanism hammering the bit. I've been using them almost a year now and have never had a bit spin in the collet. Also there's 180° twist in the collet shaft from the impact yet it has not broken nor does it show any sign that it will. Only problem is my coworkers are always borrowing it and don't want to give it back. Until the bit wears our or breaks....

I became frustrated with the inability of most drill chucks to securely hold a drill bit. Too often, the bits simply "grabbed" the work and spun within the chuck, even though I had applied the most amount or torque I could muster using the chuck's key. For a time I tried some of Milwaukee's SHOCKWAVE(tm) Hex Drill Bits. These bits were good in the sense that they did not slip when securely fastened in a chuck, moreover they could also be used in an impact driver. On the downside, hex drill bits were extremely costly when compared to standard (round) jobber bits. Despite Milwaukee's claims, I found that their hex bits became dull relatively quickly. On one particularly difficult job I went through 3 hex bits in about a half hour. I simply couldn't afford to continue down that path. After some extensive research I came across Snappy's drill bit adapters. They were exactly what I was looking for. The drill bit adapters use a collet to hole the drill bit. I found this approach to be superior when it comes to preventing the bit from slipping. Occasionally a jobber bit will slip within the collect, however this is easily correctable. Simply remove the adapter from the drill/driver. Place the hex end in a vice and tighten the collet nut with an adjustable wrench or appropriately sized combination wrench. Problem solved. The other major advantage to Snappy's drill bit adapters are their cost. A single Snappy drill bit adapter is less expensive than a comparably sized Milwaukee or DeWalt impact drill bit at any of the major box stores. Moreover, if the bit held in the collet adapter becomes dull or broken, it can easily be replaced. The owner is also free to buy as good a drill bit as he or she feels is necessary. I plan to buy the entire Snappy Drill Bit Adapter Set as soon as I can.
