Very durable, cut through 12 gauge metal with some wd-40.

Saw worked fairly well. Best in drill press went through 5 separate 1/4" panels with some burning and holes varied in diameter from 3" by a 1/16th from probably some typical press shaft issues.

I was able to make amazing perfectly round ventilation holes in my new chicken coop, despite being not so great with heavy duty carpentry tools. For example, I almost lost a finger in a recent accident, and needed tendon repair surgery and PT. But with this bit, I was able to make beautiful, perfectly round holes without a problem. The hardest part was getting the wood piece out of the bit, which I did manage to do with time. I guess the must-have component is a heavy duty drill. I used an old TE 15 that used to belong to my father -- that did the trick. This is a well-designed bit, and I plan to use it for many more projects. I might have to buy a few more sizes.

I am seldom as impressed with any product as I have been with this bit. I actually bought one and used it. I had to cut a 3 inch hole in 1/8 steel deck on a bush mower,( Howse) 5 ft. I was not looking forward to it. I put it in my Bosch battery drill and I was done almost before I started. It did literally cut through it like a knife thru butter. And it is still sharp as a razor. I will be buying some additional sizes. I had never heard of Lenox bits, but they know what they are doing. 8 Stars. ********

Gosh, this hole saw is terrific ---- I used it to put in soffit vents, and the little round caps ---- I had to drill through 1" boards covered with steel roofing ------ I did 20 holes, and it held up just fine --- since then, I've been using this to cut through my 3" thick floor, and also studs to install plumbing ---- and after numerous holes, it still works great

The Lenox Tool that I ordered did what I purchased it for. I was cutting holes from plastic buckets. Once the drill hole was bored I reversed the drill to finish the cut as I was instructed. The tool worked very good. I did have to tighten the nut with my first reverse. After that "NO PROBLEM". The tool was priced just right and cost less than at my local merchants stores. I will be using it the correct way that it was intended on a few of my other projects. The item was shipped fast and I was in no hurry to receive it. I have no problem with recommending this tool. The Lenox Tool is of good quality and I have no problem paying good money for a good product.

Needed to cut some 3" holes through wood for aluminum vents so bought this hole saw- had nothing larger than "lock set size" in what I owned prior.This tool has very sharp teeth and a deeper cup compared to the cheaper products- so will cut faster and through thicker materials than those items.I use a compact but powerful 1/2" chuck electric drill so have plenty of torque for large hole saws like this one. It made each hole in a couple seconds- almost "too fast". Just kidding, of course. No such thing as a tool too fast or too good if you use them even periodically.Possibly the best "all purpose" hole saw I own, capable of lighter metal duty as well (use cutting lube if you do).Can also be found at some big box stores but these days I use Prime for most everything- saves my time and fuel.
