The LENOX Tools Bi-Metal Speed Slot Arbored Hole Saw with T3, 1-1/4"-32mm, has enhanced tooth geometry that cuts 50% faster than previous LENOX hole saws. Twice as durable as our previous generation when cutting through metal, this bi-metal hole saw with a standard arbor features thicker walls to minimize tooth loss and improve durability. A staircase SPEED SLOT has a wide slot placed low on the hole saw and multiple leverage points to make it easy to work plugs out with a screwdriver. This design effectively removes sawdust and chips and helps prevent plugs from becoming stuck in the saw. 10% taller than previous models, it delivers cleaner cuts through two-by lumber.

The Lenox Tools 1772491 20A Bi-Metal Speed Slot Arbore Hole Saw, 1-1/4-Inch outperforms all competitors in wood cutting, plug removal, and metal cutting applications. The patent pending Speed Slot features a staircase design for easy plug removal. The slot is wider than most and is placed lower on the hole saw with multiple leverage points to easily eject the plug with a standard screwdriver. The hole saw is 10-percent taller than the previous model to deliver cleaner cuts through two-by lumber. The Speed Slot efficiently removes saw dust and chips while producing a fast cut and preventing the plug from getting stuck in the saw. The new hole saw also features up to twice the life of the previous model when cutting metal. An enhanced tooth geometry, a thin kerf design and an advanced coating contribute to the efficiency of the cutting process by removing material faster, therefore generating less heat while cutting.

Solid construction, very sharp, and a very nice feature with a built in plug removal slot that has a notch in it so you can pry out the plugs easily with a screwdriver. Also separates with an Allen screw provided. Great drill bit!

This bit is listed as a 1⅛” in the description, but actually ships a 1¼" bit. Look at the fine print further down and it is in fact listed as 1¼". Amazon, please update the title to show the correct size!The drill bit itself is fine, the weld is a bit off making the bit not perfectly round, but reasonable for the low price.

This hole saw is really sharp and strong. I used it to cut a hole through an MDF board. The special situation is that there was a second board stacked below that overlapped the hole a little. The saw cut right through both cleanly.

Bought this to cut a hole in a stainless steel sink for a hot water faucet. Worked great, With just a little cutting oil added it took about 30 seconds to cut the hole.

Pros:- The drill is well made and very sharp.Cons:- the hex shank is 11/32” …. It is too wide for a 1/4 quick-change drill. I had to return it.

I used this hole saw, in my drill press, to saw two pieces of 1/4 " cold rolled steel plate. I went slow, with plenty of cutting oil and was very pleased at the result. I checked the teeth of the saw after and they seemed just as sharp as new. It comes with a very nice mandrel. Even better, it is made in the USA.

I purchased this to cut a 1 1/4" hole in a stainless steel sink for a garbage disposal button and it worked flawlessly. It cut a nice, clean hole and did it remarkably fast. My ONLY complaint, and not really even a complaint, more like an observation, would be that after 4 uses, the paint is just completely gone to the depth I was cutting. I am totally fine with the paint not being there, all of the markings/size are engraved anyway, but why even bother with painting it? It has to add cost to the manufacturing process, and is then gone after the first day of use and smelled weird while it was rubbing off in the wood.Aside of the paint, this is a fantastic hole saw and if I need any in the future, I am definitely going to be getting Lenox.
