This thing cuts 10x faster than a small drill bit! Works great on the slow speed (300rpm) as recommended by manufacturer. Be sure to stop & put oil on it along the way. I cut 12 holes in fairly thick angle iron in like 10 minutes with no problem at all.. I did drill pilot holes first a hair smaller than the center bit. I will buy more just to have in my box!

I drilled 4 holes (17mm) in 1/4" mild steel with a drill press then 4 more with a 12v cordless drill. I oiled each hole repeatedly with 3 in 1 oil while drilling. At the end of the job the bit was still performing well. It's slow going but it seems easier than drilling consecutively larger holes. Drilling the pilot hole first with another similar sized bit seems like the way to go

The hole saw served it's purpose, to cut 13mm holes in mason jar lids, plastic and stainless steel. It probably lasted through 9 stainless steel lids before becoming too dull for the stainless steel lids. It's still fine for plastic. Disappointing. This hole saw was more than twice as much as other hole saws so I expected it to last longer.

Never saw a metal drill bit like this one, but when we used it. Wow, it was a beast and cut a perfect clean hole thru very thick steel, fast and clean. Did not bind up like the regular bit did. No deburring was necessary either.Great bit.

I bought this to drill a hole in my stainless steel kitchen sink to install water filter faucet. I had tried a few bits from big box store, but all failed. This worked well on my regular RYOBI drill / screwdriver machine.

High quality bit but not useful for making washers or cutting shim steel/alluminum. Will just twist material apart even when held in a vice. Would reccomend using only in a drill press at higher speeds and thicker materials which are well secured. Cuts will be sloppy under any other conditions but the bit is extremely durable.

The fact that I've managed to punch 6 holes through 1/2" steel is impressive. The drawback that I'm seeing is the limited depth of the bit (The pilot bit is also sub-par, but if you pre-drill with a good bit, the hole saw will do it's job well.
