I needed to make one hole to mount some 6" stove pipe through a wall, and at the price I expected, well not the most well made hole saw. Go to the local hardware store, and the cost of just the hole saw without a mandrel will make you back up a bit, especially for one expected use, so I thought why not, give this a try. When I received it I was surprised. The hole saw is of pretty decent quality, with a mandrel like you'd see on better units. It also came with a spare bit and an Allen Wrench for installing the mandrel bit. I was going through plywood and EPS foam about 5" thick with a power drill. Usually a hole saw this big tends to like to bind up and chatter a bit, but it went through smooth as can be. The hole saw seems to have a less aggressive tooth pattern and it cut a nice smooth hole. This unit doesn't cut near as deep as most hole saws, but once it bottomed out it was into the foam, so I cut the foam back and kept going. Ended up with a nice clean cut.

When the description says heavy duty....they mean it! This is a great hole saw and I was impressed with the quality as soon as I unpacked it. We are in the process of major remodeling project and used this during out stove vent installation in the metal roof. It cut thru the decking and metal like butter!

Much cheaper than the big box brands but works just as good. Used for cutting a hole in a sheet metal fuel tank to install an in-tank EFI fuel pump. Cut quickly and clean.

I purchased this to make a few corn hole boards for camping and I didn't want to try to use the jig saw on each one. This was cheap and I figured could get the job done. This did work well but I learned that it can be dangerous so use with caution. Any hole saw can jam while in use so be careful when using at higher speeds. The thing that was the worst for me was that on the first one I cut I stopped the drill too quick and the saw part of the hole saw spun off the bit and rolled across my driveway, luckily nobody was in the path. I learned to use this slowly and come to a slow stop with the drill.

This hole saw really impressed me. I needed to cut a bathroom vent hole through aluminum siding and thick sheeting/wood. This saw did the job with no hesitation. The teeth still look very sharp and I would imagine I could cut many more holes as needed for other jobs.The arbor on this hole saw is thick, durable, and worth spending the few extra dollars on vs the others that only thread into the saw hole. This arbor has thick metal pins that hold the bit in place properly.I have a very nice Milwaukee assorted hole saw set but it didn’t have a size this big. The Milwaukee bit alone was 3X-4X the price of this setup which also included the arbor and 3 bits.I took a chance on this and I am glad I did, I highly recommend this.

This comes with everything you need right in the box. Sometimes you have to spend more money on an arbor or center mount. This has all of that so you can just open, assemble, and get to work in a few minutes. It is a beast on the cut teeth. I purchased to use to install a 6 inch ducting system for a laser cutter exhaust. It cuts 152 mil which is 2 mil larger than the ducting I am using. Duct hose and fittings all fit perfectly with this size. You will get years of service from this.
