A fair gadget but it's cumbersome to use. The hole saw is to heavy especially since it needs to be used on the ceiling.

The hole saw with silicone dust collector works much better than an older model I have that has a plastic dust collector. The silicone seals and catches the dust much better than the plastic one I have. The hole saw is sharp, but I have only used it on drywall, not wood. It cuts easily through the drywall. The assembly makes installing 4" recessed lights simple and a lot less messy.
