I tried the the cheap version to save some money. The string broke on the second pull through the bore.I shoot often and this is a very easy to use maintenance tool. Buy the Hoppes . The best bore snake out there.

As a Shotgun instructor I use these all the time! Do NOT throw the container away! The lid is the handle to assist you to pull the boresnake through your barrel! You just put the brass aglet through the hole and secure it. I put a little hoppes right at the brass brush and pull it through. Works excellent and if you need extra help pulling the boresnake through step on the brass aglet with your foot and use both hands on the barrel and pull upward on the barrel to pull it through!

Does what it says. Quickly cleans bore in one or two passes. I like it can be washed as required.
