I use this for my Cowboy Action rifle, with coated bullets this does a good job for a quick cleaning. Very pleased with the purchase, and I do recommend.

Always use these opposed to the cleaning rods. So simple.

You can't beat a Boresnake. I own a number of them in different rifle calibers and shotgun gauges. Coat with a bit of Rem Oil, pull it through the bore, and they leave it clean and protected against rust. They're terrific to use for a quick cleaning upon returning home. I never put a gun in the safe without doing at least that much. I recommend the occasional deep cleaning with a rod, phosphor-bronze brush, and swabs.By the way, these Boresnakes are easily cleaned by using Grease Lightning de-greaser (I suppose others would work well too), rinse well, and hang to dry. They come out looking like new.

I was looking for a tool to use to help me clean a rifle (I have plenty of cleaning tools for pistols) and I am very impressed with how well this has worked so far. I like it far better than using a rod with a patch. In one pull you can have the inside of the barrel both cleaned and oiled. Very much worth your money to give it a try. I've used this on a pistol caliber carbine (Keltec Sub2000 Gen 2 9mm) and it works great.

Hoppe's BoreSnakes always work great for cleaning and this product was no exception. I have one for all caliber weapons I own. I add a few drops of oil and run through the barrel of the weapon a few times for a clean weapon. Bristles work to remove deposits while cloth part moves debris and oils barrel. Highly recommend getting the correct one (various caliber to suit application) for all your weapons.

Cheap, easy, and great way to clean your firearm's bore FAST. I have a Hoppe's BoreSnake for each of my rifles/shotguns, even my military issued firearms. These work great and last for years. After firing or before long term storage of firearms, put some lubricant on the BoreSnake and pull it 2-3 times down the barrel, takes less than 5 minutes, and the barrel stays clean as new. Lots of fancy, more expensive ways to clean a barrel which take more time, but I've found the BoreSnake to be the best and fastest. When I buy any new firearm, other than getting ammo for it, I also buy a BoreSnake for it. Buy one, you won't be disappointed.

Ordered it for my 9mm carbine. .355" is what 9mm is, but turns out the boresnake is a little loose and the copper bristles doesn't seem to scrub as well as the tool kit the rifle came with

Works as advertised. No problem. I use this on my shooters. On my precision rifle its bore guide and one piece rod all the way.

I have used the Hoppe's BoreSnake for years. It is easy to use and gets the job done without a lot of hassle. It's really handy if you spend extended time in the woods.

I have a 9mm carbine rifle and I was having trouble finding a rifle bore snake in 9mm. I didn't want to get a pistol snake since I feared the lead string might not be long enough to fall down the barrel.I calculated 9mm to .354331 so I figured this one would be a good fit, and it appears to work quite well! I spray CLP BreakFree cleaner into the barrel then pull this few a few times and it does an amazing job.

I have a 1934 Mosin Nagant that I regularly shoot surplus corrosive ammo. You MUST clean the gun after shooting to save the bore and mine has about the nicest I have seen ever for an old surplus gun. It used to take me hours, cleaning the bore and the chamber with a brush and patches, but now I just yank the bolt, use a mop on the chamber and bore, let it soak for a minute, brush the chamber, run the snake down the bore twice, patch once to check everything and I am DONE. Saves me at least 1/2 hour (I keep my guns very clean and happy)
