These carbide hole saws are nice and sharp and quickly cut through sheet metal. Given the significant amount of bite they have, they are more difficult to use than normal bi-metal (non-carbide) hole saws. It repeatedly dug into the metal and caused a bind on my drill press. The spring on the pilot bit also significantly reduces the cutting depth, but I assume I can remove them if it becomes an issue. The shanks with 3 flats hold really well in any drill chucks. This kit has a lot of parts and no case. Storing them is going to be annoying. They are only marked in mm, so you need to calculate or measure if you want imperial values.

This arrived with the inside cardboard box shredded but the outside Amazon box in perfect condition. It's lucky for me that they shipped it in an Amazon box because this has tiny parts that would have been lost otherwise. The parts themselves seems to be adequate quality, not particularly premium but not junk either. Hope this helps!

There are a lot of these out there. Most that I looked at are smaller in numbers but many seemed to go up to 3"s. This one has quite a bit more, but stops at 2". Now the more expensive sets come in a case, these come in individual plastic jars? I think I'm leaving them in the box for storage. But even the much more expensive sets often have less that this does, except of course for the coveted 3" hole saw.I'm more than ready for anything 2"s and below, but above that I guess I'll have to get another hole saw for that specific job. Individually, the 3" by itself is about $20. Given the price individually, I thought it a good value to preemptively get this, for less than the price of 2 - 3 inchers. This set gives you 15 hole saws for $1.33 each plus the extra bits and springs. Really a no-brainer. I took off one star because there are likely smaller ones that are not really needed and larger ones more needed.

Nice set of thin kerf carbide tipped hole saws. The springs help with removing chips so that's a useful addition. The pilot bits fit extremely firmly and each hole saw comes with its own wrench inside their individual tube container. Also not only do you get 4 extra pilot drills, but the set comes with 4 of the larger springs and a spare smaller one for the 12mm bit. The manufacturer says these bits are suitable for drilling stainless steel and other metals and although it's probably overkill, I'm sure they’ll cut wood like butter. When cutting SS and other ferrous metals be sure to cut as a low speed and use a cutting lubricant.

I purchased this 47/64 hole saw for creating the correct hole for these DaierTek 12V Latching Push Button Switch Marine Waterproof Round Blue LED Push-button Switches https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09C8BJ6RQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have to say it was PERFECT. I measured the switch size thinking there was no way I'd get a hole saw that size as I didn't want to create hole that would work, I wanted to create a PERFECT hole that worked and not have to take a Dremel or a round file and mess around, possibly scratching the side plate on my 2023 Suzuki King Quad 750 It's new with 3 miles and I wanted a PERFECT hole. The Heavy Duty Carbide Hole Saw Set, 47/64” provided that ability. I'm not short on tools, having hundreds of thousands in professional grade tools and equipment but I didn't have a 47/64 hole saw!Go figure huh, just when you think you're done buying tools....NOPE!Five Stars for functionality, price, quality and BEING WHAT I NEEDED* * * * *

I used this to make a switch hole in the dash of an older jeep. It made a nice clean hole and didn't leave any large burrs on the back side.

Whether it's shattering completely, or the teeth flying off, these suck. Yes using proper low speed, yes using tap magic. Pre drilling a starter hole because the centering bit won't punch through 316 stainless. Might be OK for 304. 316 kills these.
