Update: After processing a return and ordering a second one, once again, over half of the stuff was missing. This time the vest portion of the whole setup is missing. This company is absolutely terrible! They’ve screwed me over twice now, prevented me from being able to complete a film shoot on time due to bad business practices. DO NOT BUY THIS.Over half of the parts are missing. Specifically the entire balance system and plate and pole with weights, the camera mounts to, the table clamp, and the carrying bag. Such a huge disappointment that this is my first and only experience buying something from FLYCAM. On top of that, there is no phone number to call in order to get support. Only a generic email address which probably doesn’t get checked. I needed this for an event I’m filming on Friday. Today is Wednesday. I ordered it on Tuesday after my normal gimbal broke. It was supposed to be here today in its entirety but alas it clearly is not.Do not buy from this company.

The Flycam HD-5000 & vest arrived yesterday and was well packaged.It is well made & is solidly constructed.As others have said, it is pretty satraightforward to work out & put together.Though there was one bag of extra plastic shims & bits that I could not find the location for,they weren't even on the online instructions, but it seemed fully complete without them so I did not worry about them.Unfortunately I had thought the listing picture of the HD-5000 itself had been enlarged so you could see it better next to the vest.It hadn't....This thing is huge.Way too big for my needs, unfortunately.I shoot gigs & festivals with a mid-size/semi-pro Canon Dslr and theres no way I can get round a stage with the band playing on it or mingle through the crowds with something this size, I get moaned at for having the tripod there as it is lolSo unfortunately I have had to return it, and hence only 4 stars as I cannot comment on it's durability.Though it does look like it will last a fair while judging by it's construction.

I purchased this item and it was shipped with perfect timing. The fly cam was exactly as described, however, after putting it together it was not strong enough to hold my camera. I issued a return, in which the company email me back and asked what the issue was. I explained that it was not strong enough to hold my camera and they suggested another one that would work but it was no issue ever about getting my money back. At the time, I really just wanted a stabilizer so I went ahead and paid extra money for it. It was shipped very fast and was exactly as described. The fly Cam worked fine but it was still not strong enough to hold my camera with accessories. This is where the confusion came in I believe, I explained to the company that it would work fine but I had to bare bones my camera and I Felt like they did not take into account the weights at the bottom of the stabilizer counted towards the overall weight capacity. I emailed the company at that time and said that I was going to keep the fly cam because it worked awesome, I just had to bare bones the camera and it was not really worth the return because it worked amazing. Now, this is where this company exceeds where so many fail. I received an email less than three days later stating that their production team was working on a stronger spring for their stabilizer for me. I thought that was pretty amazing for them to do that and within three weeks they shipped me new springs that worked perfect. Overall, my camera came in at around 28 pounds all decked out and I even had to loosen the springs because it could have held more. Overall, the nicest company I have ever dealt with using Amazon over the last eight years.Thank you Cinecity

Spedizione velocissima e precisa come sempre.La Flycam si monta moltoFacilmente e velocemente, base con i pesi, asse centrale e piastra si montano davvero in 5 minuti massimo per chi non l'avesse mai fatto, per quanto riguarda il bilanciamento con la camera sopra non ci vuole moltissimo, basta seguire le istruzioni (in inglese) o cercare dei tuttorial in Italiano su YouTube, si tratta di levare e aggiungere pesetti alla base della flycam ed effettuare leggeri spostamenti sulla slitta per bilanciare il peso in maniera equa sia a destra che a sinistra, avanti e dietro... bisogna solo provare e fare pratica.Pesa un po'... più la camera è pesante, più peso dovrete mettere alla base, io la uso con una GH4 e Samyang 10mm, il tutto arriverà a pesare 7 Kg, che diventano molto più sopportabili con l'aiuto del corpetto e del comfort arm, che scarica tutto sui Lombari e sulla schiena... anch'esso veloce e semplice da montare, intuitivo, non ci sono istruzioni ma basta guardare un velocissimo tutorial su YouTube.Per un buon risultato bisogna fare pratica, provare e provare.

Written directions for assembly would have been helpful as it is such a complicated piece of equipment. Also, a carrying case for the vest is missed.

Als ich den Karton entgegennahm roch es schon sehr schlimm nach Katzenurin und als ich den Karton dann öffnete merkte ich das auch die Weste und sogar das Metall nach Urin roch. Kann ich nicht empfehlen würde es wo anders kaufen. 👎

I'm a entry level filmmaker, so my gear kit is pretty small. I had purchased this for a short film documentary for a local church and had a pretty fun time using it. It's my first 'steadycam' equipment that I have ever used so there was a bit of a learning curve. I used this in conjunction with a Sony Fs100 camera (about 7lbs with the kit lens) and found it was just a little to heavy for my wrists to handle, so get a brace if needed!The vest is awesome, I have to admit. I'm a 5'2, 150lbs woman, so short but sturdy, and the vest really helped me run around with this thing all day. I did have a little strain here and there, but that is more of my physical condition.The only thing I would of liked to see with this product, and really why I'm giving it a four star instead of five, is they should provide links, videos, or instructional pamphlets on how to balance this thing. I spent nearly a day trying to figure out how to balance it correctly and when I think I had it, I didn't. It may be on my end of 'user malfunction', but I think there should be more material on how to balance the system.Great product, overall!
