This is one of those things that you absolutely need to have if you rig your camera with 15mm rods. I use it to mount my large lens stabilizer, and add an articulating arm for monitors, focus pullers, etc. It has a 1/4 screw hole in the center that opens a world of additional options for mounting to it if need be. 10 out of 10.
