Car was blowing out excessive heat on both sides. Dual climate system. Immediately fixed the problem.Take pictures and use a stubby screwdriver for third (top) screw. You have to sign up 3 screws and two blend doors. Not easy but not hard. Took an hour and a coupla beers but Immediately fixed an excessive heat issue on an '07 accord with 278k on the odometer. For 35 bucks, the part was worth it's weight in gold. The top screw is a bear on and off.

Purchased due to noise below dash that started and a few months later it began blowing hot on driver side and cooler in passenger. Not a slam dunk to replace due to location of part beneath dash + top screw of plate / metal frame containing the part in place is obscured. I chose to partially loosen that topmost screw and slide the metal frame out of the way. The other five or so screw we’re easily and fully removed.I was careful in removing the old part to notice the plastic rotating arm’s resting position. Because I did, I realized the new part’s arm was out of it’s needed starting position. + it would never install properly as it came out of the box.The arm has to be a near a 10 and 4 position to insert into two curved plastic guides / channels it flows in to open close HVAC doors for temp control.Prior to mounting it into place, I inserted the wiring harness/plug into the back of the part, inserted the key, turned key to on(not start). The arm turned to the correct position.I turned the key off, removed it and continued with part installation.Outcomes:Saved hundreds of $ the dealer would charge for part & labor! No more ridiculous below dash noises! No more uncomfortable temp imbalances!
