Works great on 2015 Explorer Sport that was blowing cold air out passenger side dash and defrost.

Putting this mode door actuator in a Taurus isn't the easiest thing to do so I wanted an OEM quality part. This fits the bill and is cheaper than buying from the dealer.

Fits like a glove. Job took me 30mins. Top screw is a pain but it's do-able. Wear some gloves while doing it. I cut small cuts all over my hand from rubbing on the metal and hard plastics. It's been 2 weeks and working well.

This was easy to install and has outlasted the original Ford motor assembly, at a fraction of the price Ford dealers would have charged.

Passenger side was stuck on cold air. Yours could be stuck on hot air depending on what setting you are on when it fails. This also fits other blend doors, I think my flex has 4-5 of theseBroken part is located inside glove box to the left if you have same symptoms as me. Two 8mm screws and a plug. Sounds easy. It's not. I recommend a 1/4" drive universal joint and 1/4" nut driver. You can also cut out the plastic wire cover in front to get to it easier, just don't cut a wire.

This is the 2nd time the actuator in my 2011 Ford Flex has gone out. The first time I took it to my mechanic and it cost a little over $100. Three years later it happened again. This time I did a little YouTube research and found a video that showed me how to fix it in 5 minutes. I am a 54 year old woman who has never fixed a thing on a car before. If I can replace it, anyone can😀I paid $10 less on Amazon for this part than I would have paid through Ford. My only complaint is that this part only lasted 3 years the first time.

Had a ticking sound under dash due to a gear tooth broke off the original door motor, after replacement it worked fine no more ticking sound.

Worked perfectly. Installation is a pain but that isn’t the sellers fault - Ford was drunk when they designed where this goes and how to get it out.
