I purchased this transformer for my low voltage lighting system and couldn't be happier. I was very hesitant to buy the newer WiFi app enabled version due to some of the reviews, so I decided to play it safe and buy the 300w digital version.I have 10 Sunvie tall lights, 4 spotlights, and 12 lights in my steps and back yard planters. I have it on the dusk to dawn setting which is done by simply clicking the button until it highlights the D2D option. It also has two zones in case you want to have two different timing settings which is very nice and can be useful for the future.I decided to use 12 gauge wiring due to help ensure better current and prevent voltage drop. In addition, I used Sunvie's screw down clamp system for the wiring which in theory makes things so much easier, but I highly recommend using 14 or 16 gauge wiring if you do. The 14 gauge I used was too thick and I had to strip down the part of the wire with a knife to make it work.Overall, extremely happy with the transformer and my entire lighting system.

A well built low voltage transformer for your outdoor landscaping needs. This will convert your house power (120V) to 12 volts so you can power your outdoor landscaping lights. Works perfectly and is well made.

One transformer offers dusk-to-dawn and timer functions but has a cheaper plastic case and operates at twelve volts only. Another is a commercial-grade model with a metal case but few features apart from dual voltage. This transformer includes everything they offer combined plus additional features.It has a sturdy metal case with an even finish and substantial weight. Dual voltage capability allows compensation for voltage drop over long cable runs. The dual zones can be programmed independently to start and stop at chosen times, including dusk-to-dawn, timed settings, dusk-on with countdown-off options (after 2/3/4/6/8 hrs), and dusk-on with timer-off. These features are rare, and I am highly satisfied with this setup.While many transformers offer a photocell for dusk-to-dawn operation and timer functions, few include both dusk-on with countdown-off and dusk-on with timer-off options. My preferred feature is dusk-on with countdown-off, which resolves issues with lights staying on until dawn or needing frequent timer adjustments due to changing sunset times.Additionally, this transformer allows division of areas into two zones, essentially functioning as two transformers with individually set off times. I typically keep the rear of my home illuminated later at night to enhance ambiance while relaxing.There is a slight drawback compared to some high-end stainless steel models, as some allow for replacement of the photo diode and timer if they fail. However, considering the additional expense and their rarity of failure, opting for a moderately priced, fully-featured transformer that could be replaced if necessary remains a cost-effective choice.⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: This seems to be a well-made transformer with ample wattage, dual zones, dual voltage, and a plethora of on-off functions that few transformers offer. Purchased one of these units a few weeks ago, seemed to work great so I ordered a 2nd one. The second one had problems shorting out the breaker for one of the two, 300 watt curcuits. Faulty item. Returned it to Amazon. The first unit I bought started to have the same problem a few days later. Unfortunately it was past the 30 day return window.No contact information for the company for warranty.Update.Company contacted me saying they wanted to make it right without giving an email or phone number. Unusable keeps blowing breaker. Have 230 watts on it. JUNK.JUNK.
