Much smaller, lighter than the Malibu TXRs and much better design using a photocell to turn ON and then simply choose how many hrs to stay on (negating the need for a mechanical clock and pins).Also, since it uses a photocell; you no longer need to keep adjusting the on/off times due to daylight changes thru the year.

This style of transformer is my favorite these days. Plastic waterproof shell, simple interface, simple terminal block on back. I prefer to just set the lights on day/night cycle and forget about them, so the lack of a remote control is not an issue at all. I have used this style in several house setups and it works well for me.This particular model is typical of the genre. You get a nice, compact plastic shell with a few LEDs and a trio of control buttons on the front. The terminals are nice and clean, plus you get a cover for them. I'd like to see two sets of outputs at this wattage, but oh well.Will update review if anything changes, but this should be a rock solid performer for many years. This one will run about 60 watts of path lights and house spotlights in front of a house.

The LV transformer was installed, worked properly now the light output diminished to less than 30% of full brightness. The warranty says its warranted for 1-year but there is no contact information, no phone number, no email, nothing and Amazon says to contact the manufacture's website . The manufacturer is NOT list on the unit. What a low rate product support scheme and thanks for the support Amazon.

This timer failed after about 6 months. It errors out and would no longer power my lights.

I replaced an older transformer that I have probably had for 20 years. This is simple to set up and so small and hardly noticeable. It works great! I would buy again.
