RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs Up: Very nice transformer but would not expose it to direct rainTHE GOOD:1. The transformer provides two circuits at either 12 or 15 volts and is rated at a 300 watts which is pretty sizeable. You should not really load it any higher than 240 watts, so be sure to add up your lighting and keep it around 240 if you can.2. The two circuits can be controlled independently, either by setting a hard timer or using the light sensor. That means that you can control two different sets of yard lights separately.3. The unit itself uses a metal shell and is pretty well waterproofed. I would not put it into a direct line of rain, but it is rated for that.4. If you want to use the automatic photocell for on/off at dusk/dawn, be sure to mount the unit in a place where the photo sensor will get enough light, but it does not have to be in direct light.THE BAD:1. Nothing so far. It has so much capacity that I have not gotten anywhere near the 240w target load.

this transformer is very well made. It is waterproof and has an easy-to-read display. This also has a timer for turning the lights on and off. I have been able to attach all of our low voltage lights which is nice to have the all the lights controlled in one place.
