The unit in my house is from "Modern Fan Company" and this replacement remote works exactly as it should as a replacement. I've tried other replacement remotes in the past but I prefer this one because its smaller, looks better, and doesn't use a 9V battery.

I specifically ordered a replacement that supports light dimming. This unit has a button for light dimming, but it doesn't work. Shipped with a swollen battery that didn't work either.The instructions show 4 DIP switches for code and one for the type of light, which is like my original unit. The unit received doesn't have the 5th DIP switch for dimming.
