This is a very good remote kit. It's not cheaply made and comes with everything you need. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't fit. The receiver is to thick for my fan. I do have a Hampton Bay Fan, 4 yrs old. I do have a wireless receiver in there, made by Hampton Bay but the receiver box is 3/4" thick for 3 inches and then widens out to 1" for another inch so the 3/4" slides into the fan bracket. This unit is 1" thick an I cannot slide it in the bracket because the fan wires are coming up thru the hole in the center of the bracket and there's no way I can get around it. I do have one in there right now but it doesn't work all the time and that's why I got this one.

Very nice fan receiver and remote kit, came the same day we had a light being put in, so we added it onto the list for installation. Our fan is older, off brand and had stopped working so we knew there was a chance this might not do, but we took it and were pleasantly surprised. I guess it’s easy to say that this is simple to install, but we always leave that to the professionals. That said, it certainly didn’t take long to get working and although our guy hasn’t been stumped by anything we’ve thrown his way yet, there’s always a chance.Not this one. worked on the first go. He did point out the small receiver size was very very smart design.Hilariously, the temperature has just dropped from the 70s back into the 40s and 50s, but the fan doesn’t care. it turns on when you ask it to. Just what we needed. Looking forward to that cool breeze again as the temperature will certainly climb.Highly recommended.

I got this for use in my bedroom, primarily for fan control. When I work night shift, and thus sleeping during the day, I often have to get up to turn on the fan as the house heats up in the afternoon. And it's working good for that purpose. What I had not thought about was shifting all control to the remote which is typically left bedside. I'm finding it a bit inconvenient to not be able to use the existing wall switch near the door as I enter the room. I find myself wishing for an "override ON" mode like some of my outdoor security lights have. Leave the switch on for normal controller operation in auto modes, but if I turn the light off and back on (from the switch) within a second it forces the light on. That feature would be great for room entry. Still trying to get used to the remote for now, but I have an idea for non-standard wiring that may give me the override ON functionality later if the remote only use continues to annoy me.

My outdoor ceiling fan is a Hunter Bay fan, and the remote receiver died. This replacement works great, and I actually prefer how this remote controller looks over the original remote. Easy set up and the receiver is smaller than the original which made it easier to fit and set up.

I tested with Harbor Breeze fan with this remote kit and it's compatible as described. The small receiver fits into the fan canopy. Installation was a very easy, just wire the three‑button receiver and pair the remote in seconds.The timer function is helpful for setting the fan to turn off automatically at bedtime. No buzzer noise is a blessing, i don't like clicking sounds. You can control lights with the same remote. Overall, this kit modernizes ceiling fan. Highly recommend to others!
