Bought this as a gift for a friend who has been learning how to make sourdough bread as a hobby. I gifted this to her and she absolutely loves it! She is giving me a free loaf as a thank you! She said it came with several essential tools needed to bake and decorate her loaves. I keep seeing baking come up as a new hobby for a lot of people and will certainly gift this again given the opportunity- perhaps I’ll get more bread?!?

I bought this set for my best friend’s birthday since she just got a bread maker, and it was the perfect gift. She’s been making bread every week and absolutely loves using these baskets and tools. The quality is great, and the included accessories like the bread lame and Danish whisk make the whole process so much easier. If you or someone you know loves making homemade bread, this set is a must-have!!

I've been baking sourdough for almost 20 years. I've just covered my bread with a cotton towel when it rises. I've been looking at the Banneton proofing baskets before and was happy to find this set after I was invited to Amazon Vine!The baskets are really sturdy and I look forward to use them next time I bake. The basket liners are well made.This would be a great gift for someone baking. The metal dough cutter is sturdy. It has markings on both sides. One side has inches the other side has centimeters. The bread lame comes with 5 razor blades and a cover for it.The set also comes with a Danish whisk. That is a tool I have never used. I'm not sure how you would use the whisk when making sourdough. I use my kitchen aid.The basket set looks great but I removed one star because there is no information about what amount of dough you can put in the baskets! I assume you have to add quite a lot of flour to the baskets so that the dough doesn't stick. There is no information about that either.I bake bread every week but even I am not sure how to use the baskets. After the second rise the instructions say: "Turn the dough out of the basket...".The dough is pretty sensitive at this stage and easily collapses. I don't think it will hold up if I turn the basket with dough upside down to place it on a cookie sheet.I am going to test putting the baskets on top of my balls of dough when I do the second rise. I was not able to add pictures to my review.

I got this to start off on my bread making journey. It was the perfect kit to get started. It has everything I need besides the starter and a Dutch oven. Really great price for all that is included. The dough hook looks sturdy and high quality. The proofing bowl is the perfect size and shape . It even came with a bread lame and several blades. This is a great kit.
