The jar came shattered and I was not provided the option of a partial refund or an offer to replace the broken item. I was only given the option to dispose of the shattered jar and return all of the non broken items to then be issued a replacement or refund. That makes zero sense to me.

This is a great set for a starting bread baker. It had all the tools I needed to get started and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get into bread baking!

The pieces from the kit are nice. The proofing baskets are well made and the utensils that come with it are well made, but the glass jar that comes with the kit is the problem for me. I had a good starter going. Her name was Veronica, she started bubbling and fermenting day 3. Day 4 was where it all went wrong. I discarded some starter and fed her, but when I went to mix her all up the jar that came with the kit broke. I used the spatula that came with the kit to stir and mix my starter the whole time, but on day 4 the jar popped a whole in the bottom, ruining my starter. You can't know if glass got into it. I had to throw Veronica away. Be wary of the jar that comes in this kit. Everything else is nice though.
