Wasn't what I expected. Unhappy it is also undersized for my baboni dog door. Was expecting the replacement flap to match the existing flaps

Baboni makes a good product, but I think they need to consider the dogs using these larger doors.We have 7 Great Danes and I installed a Baboni XL door when we added on a 24x24 “Dog Room” to the back of our home last Fall. (We call it the Pupatorium).Anyway, I’ve had to replace the flaps and insulated flap several times because one of our pack decided that they like to tug on the flaps.Granted, this is a behavior thing that we’re trying to correct, but I also noticed that the screw holes at the top of the flaps are very close to the edge on what’s really a very soft material. They rip out VERY easily!My fix was to bend a piece of 26 gauge sheet metal on my metal brake, drill it and install it to the tops of the flaps on both sides. For additional strength, I also riveted the flaps to the metal caps so that they cannot be easily pulled free.I reinstalled without the thin metal trim piece on the outside of it, since the metal cap I’d fabricated served basically the same aesthetic purpose and that way I could use the screws that came with the door instead of having to find longer screws.I’m sure there’s some reason why they don’t use a riveted metal cap, (perhaps for safety it should tear free of a dog gets stuck?), but this works much better. I’d urge them to consider a design update in the future.Otherwise a fantastic door and I’m glad that I invested a bit extra to get the tip of the line. If it were more durable on the flaps, I’d give it a higher rating.

I didn't read the product correctly & was looking for a replacement flap. But installed this and it works great to block the wind. My dog chews the magnetic strip off the exterior flap. This interior flap has helped considerably.

it would solve the Original door replacements. It comes no where close to that. I realize it isnt meant for that. But dont waste $24 on what you could do with a piece of cardboard & scissors.But the real problem is LACK OF CUSTOMER SUPPORT & REPLACEMENT parts.

Love it is insulated and also sun blocking. I live in Arizona and the sun destroys everything. This replacement is a definite upgrade.

This is so much better than the standard flap. It doesn’t blow open in the wind. And with the opaque color (instead of clear) it blends into the wall better.

Exact replacement but I wish it was made of sturdier stuff, my dogs are shredding this faster than I can replace 🤦🏼♀️. Just this piece so not sure what the draw to it is.
