I liked the environmental seal that made protection from the elements as easy as adding a electrical tape covering. I installed on an RV to tow a Jeep.

Only problem with this is the cable securing ring does not close enough for my application. I'm using well insulated brand name 7 conductor 14ga wire which I think is pretty standard and the securing ring does not come close to closing on the wire jacket. Also the little screw ( the name escapes me) meant to hold the terminal face in place just screws into a small divot. Too tight and it warps the housing, too lose and the race will pop out. These are both simple improvements to make.

This trailer Car/Suv Trailer wiring connector is different from all the others that I have wired. First it mounts the same as others same size same hole placement but then comes the difference. The back end has two screw together sections the back one has a plastic compression fitting to secure and seal the wiring ( need to use tape or Sealent to make it Water prof ). the front screw in section secures the 7 pin blade connector. So to use this connector take it a part slide the two rear threaded sections over the wiring. Mount the front part to the mounting bracket wire the blade convector slide the blade connector into the front piece screw the back section together and you are done

Mine was a somewhat unconventional use. All I wanted was to be able to plug a deep cycle 12v battery into my cargo trailer for interior lights without concern for running the truck batteries down in the event I forgot and left the lights on sometime. Or, when the truck isn't near the trailer. So I only used 2 of the connections just to get accessory power into the trailer but it seemed well designed and built and it connected/worked just fine. Also the price was reasonable.
